I mean, when you celebrate a holiday centered around eggs and rabbits, clear symbols of fertility, and when the name Easter is pronounced the same as Ishtar, the GODDESS of fertility, you'd think someone would realize Christianity, namely Easter isn't as original as you'd think. Constantine simply renamed a Pagan holiday and tacked on Christian crap onto it. Not that it's a bad thing. I just think it's rather ignorant that people completely ignore this simple fact.Very ignorant. And quite dangerous... Are they really this ignorant to think that Easter is THEIR holiday? Are they aware they are celebrating a holiday from a religion quite outside their own? Ae they aware that "fertility" implies sex, something Christians are traditionally rather opposed to?

From a philosophical standpoint, you KNOW that there is a chance a god exists, however small. However, would you bet your life, all that you own and value on the idea that there is no god? In other words, how SURE are you that there is no god? Agnostic-atheism is a VERY stable and logical position, but would you be willing to bet EVERYTHING, with the risk of a god STRIKING you down with holy thunder, just to win the ability to say you're right? How much would you bet monetary, or life-wise to claim you are right?Would you bet your life there is no god?

Why do the things you have faith in have validity? You are on this website to show others why your views are correct and accurate, but are they? What reasons do you have for believing something? Do you have enough reasons to place your bet that you're right? Are they good enough reasons? What about other positions? Do you think your reasons and evidence is greater than the reasons and evidence of other positions? Why?

So why aren't you voting for him? He has the popularity needed to be able to win, unlike Jill Stein, he has the economic strategy that can save the economy, unlike Obama or Romney, he also has the idea that people actually have a right to "freedom", unlike Romney or Obama. The only company he owned, he made himself. He is smart, and understands freedom. He will end the drone strikes, and lead us back into peace. I can trust him to lead America. Why can't you? My god is a cruel god. He judges all souls and then promptly casts them into hell where they will be tortured forever. There is no way out. All humans are judged by this god and all go to hell no matter what they do, in life or death. This means you. You will die and after, you will suffer forever and ever. You cannot ever be free. There will be burning and pain, poisons and ripping. There will be fire and knives and razors and horrible things. Your heart will be eaten daily, and then grow back slowly. Your arms will be torn off, then stitched back on with burning needles and magically healed, then torn off again. Legs pinned and stretched with chains. You will suffer endlessly for all time. Why? Because that is just part of God's mysterious plan. This endless cycle of pain will never end. There is no escape; all humans go to hell.   Any questions or concerns? Any ideas to make this religion more popular?

According to the Bible, Jesus is the ONLY path to heaven. No good deed, no love, no money, no ANYTHING can get you into heaven except Jesus. This would mean that all Jews that died in the Holocaust are now suffering in hell. Hitler, a Christian is in heaven, for all Christians, no matter how they act on Earth can gain forgiveness through Jesus. Is this true or false?

Why don't you perform the exact same experiment or test, and if it happens again, then you likely are correct. Of course, false prophets burn forever, right? Christians and other religious people here talk a lot about heaven and god and hell, but where are these places? Where is heaven? If you haven't ever seen it, or seen travel brochures with photos, or even a road map to it, how can you know it even exists? Is it in outerspace? We've been there though, and only seen planets are stars and galaxies and quasars and weird stuff. No heaven though. Where is heaven? Where is hell?  

You are to be elected the next president of the USA. It doesn't matter where you're born, They will take care of the details. All you need to do is start a certain war in a certain nation. Otherwise, you can pick your own policy and party. Would you accept, in return for starting a war that could last for years and years?  

If you are serious about wanting to know the truth, then you must truly know your enemy better than yourself. It is wise to know yourself as well, but for now, let us engage in drawing up a strategy.   On the evolution column, only Creationists can add arguments. Creationists must fully defend evolution and explain why it is true. There can be no holds barred. If you are deceptive and give a faulty explanation- you will be slaughtered in the field. We do not want that, so true warriors will admit when an enemy is stronger than they are, so that creationism itself can adapt to the enemy, and thus beat him. Of course, it goes the other way as well. Atheists must explain creationism as best as they can. Despite the lack of evidence of a god, if evolution could not have happened, then HOW ELSE could all the animals and humans be on Earth today? Of course, a decent explanation would be helpful, along with evidence. Research and experiments pave the way to truth. If you can't understand the enemy, how can you hope to beat him? You would look like a fool if you thought evolution worked how it does in pokemon, just as an atheist would look like a fool if he said creationism happened in 7 hours, instead of days, as certain holy books say. Get your facts straight, or you will be mocked horribly.   Explain the opponent's side, or surrender.

Please provide examples, and reasons why it was God who did this, and not just random chance, luck or something mundane that could have happened to anyone. What makes it a miracle or act of god and not just an occurance that was amazing or strange, but still natural to the world? What force outside natural events caused this event to happen? How do you know it was the god you believe in? How can you prove it?
