Recent reports say that the reason why Chris Brown and Rihanna got into a heated argument on Grammy-eve which even led to the black eye suffered by Rihanna was that the latter gave the former “herpes.”
According to CDC.gov, Genetal herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the herpes simplex viruses type 1 (HSV-1) or type 2 (HSV-2)but in most cases, genital herpes is caused by HSV-2. Majority of individuals have no or only minimal signs or symptoms from HSV-1 or HSV-2 infection. When one starts to experience signs, they usually appear as one or more blisters on or around the genitals or rectum. The blisters break, leaving tender ulcers (sores) that may take two to four weeks to heal the first time they occur. Normally, another outbreak can appear weeks or months following the first, but it almost always is less severe and shorter than the first outbreak. Although the infection can remain in the body intermittently, the number of outbreaks tends to decrease over a period of years.
Reports from sites further state that the reason the pair were fighting was by reason of the recent breakup by the couple. Rihanna desires to continue the relationship but Chris Brown wants severance of the relationship. The story became more controversial when Tom Joyner, a nationally syndicated radio broadcast out of Atlanta’s Kiss 104.1, mentioned that the reason why Brown got mad is that the Barbados singer gave him an STD.
LAPD confirmed to PEOPLE that Chris Brown is under investigation for alleged domestic violence felony battery. Brown, after getting arrested, has been released on $50,000 bail and will be represented by high profile attorney Mark Geragos.
