In the coming days, you will have an opportunity to consider three
options for U.S. policy toward Russia. Each of the options that
you will explore is based on a distinct set of values and beliefs. Each
takes a different perspective on how the United States should deal
with Russia. You should think of the options as a tool designed to
help you understand contrasting U.S. strategies toward Russia.
After you have considered these three options, you will be asked
to create an original option that reflects your own beliefs and opinions
about U.S. policy. You may borrow heavily from one option, combine
ideas from several options, or take a new approach altogether. You
will need to weigh the risks and trade-offs of whatever you decide.
