What's the best city you've ever been to?

If you live in the state, close to it, or far away, or if you've never even been near it, what do you think about the state of New Jersey?  I'm sure many of you think things about it that are completely untrue, but are famous "rumors" about the state.  I'd be glad to correct you. :p

I am preparing to go out to the San Francisco Bay Area, and I'd like to go wine tasting.  Since I only have one day to go tasting, I'd like to know where to spend my time.  Which area has better ambiance? Which has better scenery?  Which is cheaper?  Which is easier to get to?  All of these things seem relevant in deciding which is the superior place to spend one day wine tasting.
