It's Morally Okay to Deny Basic Human Rights

Just as the debate title says.  It is morally okay for the majority in a society to deny basic human rights to a minority group of other human beings and for whatever reason the majority decides to deny them. True or False? EXAMPLE: Would it be morally okay for society (the majority) to re-enact slavery and make it legal?

Individual's rights versus state's rights: which one is more important?

I am for the individual's rights over the state's rights, because everyone has natural rights.

... defined by each individual.What I consider "morally right" may differ from what you consider morally right.Just because you feel "entitled" to something, doesn't mean you are entitled to it.A "right" is only something granted to you by society through the government.People don't like to ask because to ask means the possibility to be denied. So they demand. Making a demand carries more weight to it if you claim that it is "morally right" and that it is your "right" and therefore you are "entitled" to it.But, does a zebra use the same logic with a lion? Does a lion use that same logic with other lions? Why must human insist on using this flawed logic? No one is entitled to anything that is not given to them, including rights. And morality is an illusion.

Justin Bieber shouldn’t have right. I personally believe that Justin Bieber shouldn’t have rights due to the facts that he is a demon spawn from the depths of the earth. I have reasons to believe that he was a demon seed planted in his so called mother by a satanic figure on the first of March 1994. I also believe that Justin Bieber is a mutated beast from plum island; as a baby Justin was so hideous that the residents of Stratford Canada deported him to New York where the scientists of Plum Island hid him until they made his freakishly body was altered enough to be accepted into society in Canada. After 14 years of hiding away in his house he decided to show his talents to his grandmother by singing into the camera on YouTube and people noticed his singing and loved it, he was getting popular throughout the YouTube community. Where do our basic Human and Legal Rights derive from?

This is part of an educational research project and I am looking to gather some opinions, thoughts and ideas- Facts will be very much appreciated. In today's world we take our legal and human rights for granted. Many of us assume that the State has given us these rights, this may be true, but where did the idea originate from? I know many philosophers thought on this- but how did this become so entrenched into the legal system? Is it possible to trace the exact person or location- what people were the first to be ‘given’ rights? Was it through revolution? It must have been someone who triggered the thought. Any ideas, opinions or historical knowledge realting to the UK, USA or any other country will be very much appreciated. Thank You.

People do not get their rights from the government. They naturally have those rights.

Downs Syndromes are not human

Normal humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes (46 total - an inarguable fact). Chimps have 24 pairs of chromosomes (48 total - another fact). This makes chimps between 95% and 98.5% genetically similar to humans (depending on which studies you read e.g "http://www.answersingenesis.org/tj/v17/i1/DNA.asp"). Chimps are NOT defined as being human - they are a separate species. Humans cannot mate successfully with chimps due to the differences in chromosomes. There are many genetic mutations that can result in a 'human' ending up with either more or less than 23 chromosomes - one of which is trisomy of chromosome 21 (in 3 different variations) which results in Downs Syndrome (47 chromosomes). This makes Downs Syndromes 97.87% genetically similar to 'normal' 23 chromosomed humans. Downs Syndromes and humans cannot mate successfully due to the differences in chromosomes. Therefore, they are not human.
