Marijuana has great benefits, like helping cure cancer (which gets us one step closer to the complete cure), helps with epilepsy, AIDS, Chromes Disease, Seizures, ect. No deaths have been reported from marijuana. Marijuana heals more than than alcohol and tobacco kills. Marijuana can cause lung cancer but it takes twice as long to kill the lungs because there is no tar in marijuana. And if President Obama has smoked Marijuana and marijuana is "so bad for you, and it kills" then how is he still alive?
Marijuana-derived CBD oil is extracted from high-THC cannabis plants, which can contain varying amounts of THC. (The ratio of CBD to THC is typically listed on the product label.) Any product with more than 0.3 percent THC is considered a controlled substance and can only be bought in a state where medical or recreational marijuana is legal. Although the science is scant, one study reported that some experts believe combining CBD with THC enhances CBD’s pharmacological benefits, a theory known as the “entourage effect.”
I believe Cannabis(delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) should be legalized as should Medical Cannabis. It should be taxed by the U.S Government using a sales tax in the same way the U.S government does for Tobacco and Alcohol. Persons 18 years or older would legally be able to purchase from " Dispensaries" not "Drug dealers".Cannabis should be legalized for a number of reasons.1. The drug war is not as effective as most people think it is.2. Police and the Government have better things to do.3. Cannabis is a plant grown from a seed not a chemically altered substance like harder drugs.
Many people claim that marijuana has great medical benefits and also can be controlled if made illegal by limiting the amount on sale. Also many people calim that marijuana is just like the use of alcohol whilst many claim that this untrue. Do you think it is a good idea to legalize marijuana?
This is an interesting topic because of how controversial it is. Many studies have shown that Marijuana doesn't hurt your body as a whole as much as alcohol and other drugs do. Marijuana is also used in medical practices. But does this mean we should make it legal for recreational use?
Lots of people disagree with the whole 'medical marijuana' thing. So what is your opinion on it? Do you feel that it should definitely be legal, or do you feel that marijuana should be illegal? Please explain.

Society lies about Marijuana and I do not think that is okay. Pot is an almost harmless drug and is the least dangerous compared to any other drugs. When people lie about Pot, teens assume they're lying about other drugs too and are more likely to do them. I think it is time to tell the truth about a wildly misunderstood substance. If teens are going to do drugs they should have truthful and accurate information. Decisions are best made when real facts are presented.
*Most politicians would change their ways if they were facing a strong grass-roots movement for legalization, and this is where pot-smokers' lack of political involvement does the most damage. As Malcolm X once said, if every black person in the country would countribute a small sum to an Afro-American lobbying group, "Washington's worst 'nigger-hater' would leap up: 'Well, how are you? Come on in here!'" According to federal drug surveys about 11 million Americans smoke marijuana at least once a month--or are willing to tell a government pollster that they do--and over 4 million get high at least three times a week. About 150,000 to 200,000 are committed enough stoners to buy "High Times" or "Cannabis Culture" magazines. *

Should Marijuana be decriminalized for more than just medical use?
