are the Republicans for small government and Democrats for big government? Not hardly. Both are for big government, and here are a few examples that we can contemplate as election time grows near. #1 both republicans and democrats signed the NDAA allowing the government to detain US citizens without due process and for an unlimited amount of time, #2 both have used their newfound rights from the Patriot Act to spy on Americans, #3 both voted for the use of 30000 drones over US airspace, #4 in the last election both candidates set out a plan for a universal healthcare system (Romney's regulated by the states, Obama by the feds),#5 both approved the bailout on Wall Street, #6 both have sued third parties to keep them off ballots, #7 both formed the` commission of presidential debates` which keep third parties out of the presidential debates, #8 both have invested in stocks for companies they have signed legislation for, #9 both make ready use of the designation `conflict`, so they can bypass congressional approval for military action, #10 both spend billions of dollars on their campaigns and conventions ( tax payer money), #11 both have had former congressman, after leaving office, join up with lobbyists to influence future policies, #12 between them both, there has been no other party elected to the presidential office in 160 years, #13 both have arrested hundreds of journalists, #14 between the last two presidents, one republican the other democrat, the national deficit has grown to 5 times what it was before, #15 both parties support SOPA and PIPA which would grant the government control of the internet, and allow the president to have an` internet kill switch`, #16 both are for quantitative easing, allowing the Federal Reserve to put trillions of dollars into the economy that we don't have, which will harm the economy in the long run. In spite of the few differences that they have, democrats and republicans are no longer for the people, but for corporate interests. Each side blames the other, but both are responsible for the demise of this country
