Should Children Watch TV Less?

Studies have shown that in the past few decades, a significant number of children spent more time in front of a television set than in a classroom. Many of them were free to watch without supervision; in fact, nearly a quarter had sets in their own rooms. Much has been studies and written about the effects of violent TV shows on the minds of young children. But what has not been scrutinized, as thoroughly, is the impact that even more innocuous programming can have upon the ways that they think and feel. Young children learn primarily through imitation and repetition. This is why routines and rhythm are so important in their early lives. They learn to trust their environment when it responds to them in consistent ways. Television programs confront them with images and sounds that bear no relationship to that environment.

I have a best friend who is a guy, we've been friends since we were like .. 9 or something. I know for sure he has no feelings for me what so ever, and he knows I don't have feelings for him, other than friendly feelings. I don't know what I would do without him, we have so much fun and we're each other's wingmen and stuff, and I truly believe every girl desperately needs a guy best friend to help her score ;)

In our minds, either exceedinly advanced or scarily simplistic, we interpret numbers in our own conscience. However, do they actually have an objective existance? If you give a number to something, such as " there are three apples" then yes  they have a number value. However, numbers on their own, do they physically exist?

The death penalty is also known as a capital punishment. It is killing a person in order to justify or make right a severe crime they have commited. It is basically a sentence of punishment by some form of excution. This problem is spreaded all over the world because the crimes are everywhere. So do you think that the death penalty is a good way to punish these criminals or just to keep them in the jail?

Should college students work while studying ?

Some students like to work while studying to make some money to help their families. On the other hand some students dislike working while studying in college. In my own opinion I think that college students should work to earn their own money. So what do you think?

Fast food is responsible for teenage obesity. Do you agree?

I feel that Fast food is definitely not responsible for teenage obesity. Fast food basically refers to food that can be prepared quickly and easily and is sold as a quick meal or to be taken out. Obesity refers to a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse effect on health. Lets explore what actually causes teenage obesity and why fast food is not.  

Is it annoying when people downvote arguments?

Please read first:   I don't think it is annoying when people downvote my arguments, what I think is annoying is when they downvote without leaving a reply on why they think my argument sucked so bad. You can of course say, that if you force the downvoters to leave a dispute, you'll also have to force the upvoters to leave a supporting argument. I don't think so myself, if I upvote someone it is because I support their view. If I downvote someone then I think it is very important for me to dispute the person to tell him what is flawed with his argument. Do you think it is annoying when people downvote without responding to your argument?

How does the Casimir Effect disprove the existence of an eternal being?

Recently I have been arguing that an eternal being "possibly" created everything. Another user said no the CasimirEffect automatically disproves the existence for one. I know a "god" cant be fully proven or disproven but does this effect disprove the existence of an eternal being? Why does it if it does?
