While I agree that we all want to see CreateDebate make it big, an active blog that showcases new features really can be marketing in and of itself. Showing activity through a blog is one way of keeping loyal users (as long as you end up consistently rolling out the features promised...). But to be even more realistic and maybe severe, I think the CreateDebate team should be sure to post both! Create an active blog that has weekly posts with updates and statuses and get your users interested in not only utilizing the service but considering it something that they can cherish and be involved in. One of my pet peeves is web service companies that have very inactive blogs or that post irregularly. When I am interested in a web service or a web application and I see that the blog is updated once or twice a year or one a very irregular basis then I get a little turned off as I see the dev team as being less active or less interested in involving their users.
I totally agree. But I wouldn't even put names to the faces. If the IT industry continues to flourish there will be no "final winner" but instead there will be a splintering into a multitude of smaller markets. In web design you can already see this happening. Web applications are quickly becoming popular, SEO, marketing, social networking, social bookmarking, label making, all of these things are quickly becoming strong independent players in the IT industry.

The iphone is still a very closed device even after the recent changes in third party applications allowed. It lacks the power of a real computer and really just doctors up the interface to make it look pretty. The interface design may be stellar and able to push better GUI down-the-line (seeing as some smartphone companies are already adapting and developing beautiful GUIs), but the true ability of smartphones is to match, sync, update, replace and any other word for interfacing of mobile device to computer/world. The iphone is really just skims the water of what it potential with smartphones. I've heard it called a semi-smartphone to an the even more derogatory term, pseudo-smartphone/smartphone-look-alike. Capability is different than a beautiful GUI. There are hundreds of articles that can be found with a simple google search about the real lack that the iphone has. I have attached a cheeky advertisement comparison that just touches on the issues.

You need more specifics than just "i'm buying a new laptop" I would personally go for the nice new Eee PC 900 that is set to come out. It has much double the capacity and performance as the 800 series and it's a little bit bigger of a screen. I love these UMPCs. But if you want something with more multimedia capacity (which tends to be kind of ironic...when you consider power consumption, heat and the nixed performace due to space constraints) then you'd probably be best considering any Acer, Sony, or other nice brands. But if you want the best quality (with a terrible price tag to match) then yes a macbook pro will be the top-of-the-line best bet.
Actually, I think most people don't here 'amazing stories' everyday. I don't think I'd be wrong in saying that only a select few ignoramuses actually here 'amazing stories' everyday. Most people just live and struggle to exist in this cruel world that somehow becomes "beautiful" and "amazing" after god enters the picture...sarcasm hopefully apparent. And I'd also love for you to illustrate for us (as is proper in debate) these stories that seemingly fortell the future! Were the disciples the christian version of Nostradamus?! (the heretic every christian loved to hate...) I find it baffling that such a turn of events has allowed the bible to become a predictive tool, which would've been bogus up until modern day (read: terrible) America.
I'd love for you to tackle this one instead of just leaving us with a mild introductory statement. Seriously, tell me how science "makes apparent" god's existence.
nature (and natural occurrences) proving the existence of god is a completely bogus argument. When the Renaissance and Enlightenment philosophers were pondering God's existence not once did they attend to the level of 'proven-by-nature.' There is no true rationale behind it! If you could causally link the face of a newborn child to the existence of an omnipotent god that somehow manages to escape all access in this universe...then you would be a flying pig :P
The iphone is meaningless! It's barely even a smartphone. The technology is so closed up and only just now are they barely opening it up. The PC was an incredible chance for an ENTIRE market, the iphone has no potential market openings involved. In fact it hardly is an advancement compared to some phones that HTC and other TRUE smartphone companies have made.
Athletes should have a stronger opinion than that! They are intelligent humans and shouldn't make choices based on what is normal, because Chinese oppression is not normal and should not be tolerated.
