That is because Jesus warned us that many will fall away in the End Times. But those who stand firm to the end will be saved.

Jesus lifts our burdens and is with us all the time, and if you havent noticed, people are more willing to hear about Jesus after a disaster. It is our job as Christians to preach the Gospel to those who have not heard it, so that we plant the seed for salvation, and then someone else comes along and waters the seed, and then God makes it grow. This is how reaching out to other unbelievers works
