If my brother was in the hospital, then he would be the one that is the patient.

I'm not disputing the facts that melanin will not fully protect you; I was disputing the claim of it damaging the melanin. I cannot find anything that corroborates that statement. If you know of any, please post a link. I don't mind being proven wrong if there are facts.

I have to appreciate a man who reads the Eddas.

1 point

Too many times to remember. I was happy when they came out with the remote locks.

1 point

I could see where it could be a contest but not a sport.

1 point

I must be going to the wrong areas...I've never seen anything that I would really consider inappropriate.

1 point

Actually, part of my explanation wasn't fully correct:

Independence Was Not Declared on July Fourth: The second Continental Congress actually voted for independence on July 2. In fact, John Adams wrote to his wife, Abigail, predicting that future generations would celebrate July 2 as Independence Day, saying, "The second day of July, 1776, will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illumination, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forevermore." July 4, 1776 is significant because that is the day that Congress officially adopted the Declaration of Independence document, but contrary to what many people believe it was not signed on the July 4. The official signing ceremony occurred on August 2, which is when most of the signers affixed their names to the document, but other representatives signed the document throughout the summer of 1776. Finally, there is no historical record of John Hancock saying that his signature is that big so that King George could read it. It has been suggested that Hancock's is by far the largest signature simply because he was the president of Congress.

Sh*t outta(slang for out of, since you may be unfamiliar with American slang) luck.

It's okay. As far as no pockets, I guess you're SOL.

1 point

A teacher should only raise their voice to gain the attention of a loud and/or disorderly class. But there are other ways, like banging a stapler like a gavel. Other than that, a teacher should always maintain their cool.

1 point

This debate has run before, so I'll answer the same as before. I wish that every time I reached into my pocket that I would have the exact amount of cash to purchase whatever I need or want.

2 points

Actually, I was referring to Oprah.

1 point

I doubt it...two cows on Oprah is just too many.

1 point

Art, of any form, develops the mind. It exercises a part of the mind that is not always used. So yes, it should be taught because the idea is to enlighten and expand the minds of our youth. I had art class in one year of junior high and I was horrible in it. But i still think it's worthwhile. The only thing artistic about me now is that I taught myself to play the Native American flute.

1 point

The fourth is the celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. But all the rest that you listed are true. As far as the death of British soldiers, there were many casualties on both sides. But the fight for freedom was worth it to get out from under England's rule and taxes.

1 point

Okay, you made me register to see it... I wish I was that cat.

1 point

I think he may have been in too much of a hurry to get another debate going.

1 point

Believe me, they do. I've done clinicals in nursing homes and many wear them. Only they refer to them as adult briefs so it doesn't belittle the resident.

1 point

Maybe, the missing link?

1 point

Looks like you have to sign up to see what you see. Or it's not Mac friendly.

1 point

Okay, now it has appeared up there.

1 point

I think we may need a link, Joe.

Since I'm against organized religion, I would never force my child(ren) to go. But I would not prevent it either if they wanted to explore options and learn what is out there so they can make an educated decision of their own.

1 point

Well, I tried to show some remorse. Lol ;)

2 points

I know the feeling!

I've had homemade honey butter that was good. Excellent on soft rolls.

3 points

No, I prefer Norse mythology.

1 point

Neither side was worthy of using as a response, but I chose this side. I am of American Indian descent, so I tan easily and stay darker through the winter. I will pull off my shirt to work in the yard or pasture to stay cooler and because I enjoy the sun. There is no better source for vitamin D than the sun. As far as damaging your melanin, melanin acts as a sunscreen and protects the skin from ultraviolet light. Melanin is produced by cells called melanocytes. It provides some protection against skin damage from the sun, and the melanocytes increase their production of melanin in response to sun exposure.

Bruja is a witch then you added poo. I was just confirming your name. I've had my dealings with brujas, Mexican and otherwise. ;)

Ron Paul.

3 points

That's it!

I check in when I have the time. Right now I'm taking about 24 hours a week this summer semester and that's keeping me busy. Then it will be 18 hours a week in fall semester but even tougher courses.

Land of the Lakes...real butter.

Yes, education causes the muscle known as your brain to get exercise and prevents atrophy. Reading helps develop your brain and repetition helps your memory.

I'm glad you're not my dentist.

I couldn't help it...it was too easy.

1 point

Actually, I'm wrong. It was when I was a member at another site that I got hit all the time because I was rated high as a raver.

2 points

No, been in the newspaper a few times though. But I do have the perfect face for radio.

3 points

Maybe they caught her smuggling in(or out) some sh*t.

2 points

I did quite often when I used to be more regular on the site.

2 points

No, neither one.

1 point

I generally don't really swear unless I'm really pissed off. Oops!

2 points

If it's any good, send it to me. ;)

2 points

I pretty well agree with you on most parts. I think it probably dates back to when the Catholic church would not allow divorce.King Henry VIII wanted to divorce his wife Catherine and marry Ann Boleyn. He eventually broke away from the Catholic Church due to his desire to divorce and remarry. He started the Church of England, now known as the Episcopal Church.

And in my vehicle.

2 points

At least she was able to shake them out of the way.

3 points

Nice thought, but apparently you've never lived where there are meth freaks or where home invasions are common.

5 points

The Castle Doctrine in Texas allows you to use lethal force without having to back down without any repercussions. It also extends into your vehicle, but you have to be in your vehicle at the time of use for that to be true unless you are a concealed handgun licensee. Then you can use lethal force whenever your life or anyone else's life is threatened.

1 point

No, I don't even want to be embalmed for a showing. I want to be cremated ASAP.

3 points

I will buy the movie, but usually after it has been out long enough to be lower in price. Only exception is if it was a movie I really wanted to see and missed it at the theater, then I'll buy it shortly after release.

2 points

The twist, the monkey, and the bat dance. lol

Neither link works and I have no clue what your debate is about.

I think they can be kind of sexy on the right woman. But you need to be petite to pull it off. But the main thing to consider(besides what you will look like as you age) is how potential employers will react to them.

2 points

I average about 1-2 hours a day.

1 point

To my PO Box will work! ;)

1 point

So what drugs were you on when you came up with this and did you bring enough for everyone?

1 point

You Are an Apple

You are strong, powerful, and even a bit stubborn at times.

You have enough strength to help those around you in trouble.

You are adventurous and charming. Many people are drawn to you.

You love life, and you enjoy traveling the world. You enjoy fine food, art, and culture.

People have accused you of being a snob, but that's not accurate.

You do enjoy the best things in life. Unlike snobs, you truly appreciate quality... not just pretend to.

1 point

Depends on the crust. But if I have a choice of eating something that tastes like cooked cardboard or the good part of a pizza, the crust will be left alone.

2 points

Still...I'm shocked!!! LMBO

Je weet dat we kunnen blijven doen dit en vele nooit zou aanslaan.

Not at all.

ROFLMAO !!!

No, sólo llevar todo negro a menos que yo estoy haciendo mi práctica hospitalaria, entonces estoy usando todos los matorrales blanco.

I have a deep respect for all Marines, but prefer the Special Forces.

Special Forces

Or I should say, it didn't work for the guy who got my first wife pregnant.

2 points

El hombre de negro.

3 points

Hell, I don't even remember last summer!

2 points

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I wouldn't consult one.

2 points

Then you're just not doing it right! LOL!

2 points

I'm shocked! Shocked, I say!!! You seem so pure! ROFLMAO....sorry!

2 points

It's cooling down here too...I think we may get under 100 for a couple of days.

2 points

Mine did direct me into a woodland area where the road had ended. I redirected myself even though I do have a 4-wheel drive...I do believe in the path of least resistance. LOL

1 point

Wonderful speech!

2 points

Normally I would draw the .45 that's usually attached to my hip. If for some reason I don't have it on, then it will depend on what room I'm in as I have guns strategically placed throughout the house.

2 points

Easily excited, isn't he?

3 points

Enjoy your time while you can!

2 points

That was baaaaaaaaad!

2 points

It is up to the states due to the tenth amendment because the Feds have no right to prevent gay marriage by the powers given to them by the constitution, but the states are prohibited by the fourteenth amendment. So all in all, it seems to be a moot point.

2 points

Seems awfully fond of that wiener! If I were him, I would have gone more with the German pronunciation of Weiner which would have been more like Winer.

2 points

Moving on up...to the east side........I apologize, it's just that the song really seemed to fit him and not due to race.

1 point

It matters if you want to be taken seriously. Typos can be overlooked easily enough, but a string of misspelled words does not help you look intelligent in a debate or in any typed message.

1 point

A great song!

Thank You
1 point

That's why I put it out there...to get people to think. There are too many who are sheeple and will go along with what they are told they should. Then we have those that will find a conspiracy behind every tree. I tend to lean towards the conspiracy side because I believe very little the government tries to push on us. There are just too many unanswered and even unasked questions. People need to question more of what's going on around them.

1 point

Since there is not an "all of the above" choice, I'll go on this side. When you are in love, everything seems wonderful. But lose that, and it can seem like the end of the world.

1 point

Second, what you said is not true: in 2006, firearms were used in 68 percent of murders

What I said was that those that go through the training and are licensed to carry are less likely to be involved in a gun related murder. True, guns are for killing, but those of us who choose to be licensed are simply prepared to kill if the threat is presented to us to go to that extreme. Very few concealed carry licensed individuals have had their licenses revoked due to unnecessary gun violence. Many of those few have had them revoked due to violence that did not even involve a gun. I could dig through my stacks of magazines to give you those references, but you could probably find it as easily if you google it. As far as me carrying a gun, let me refer you to this story...

http://www.killology.com/sheep_dog.htm

As you stated, which was my point, it doesn't matter.

There will always be gun violence. No matter where you are. With or without gun control.

This is where I picked up that it doesn't matter...with or without gun gun control, there will always be gun violence.

I'll go with test 2 hoping that any bugs in test 1 have been worked out. Or maybe it should be called Test 2.0.

4 points

Hell no?

1 point

But on this subject now...do elevators smell different to midgets?

2 points

I agree, it was a wonderful article, extremely well thought out!

2 points

I think the punishment should go with the amount of pain and suffering inflicted on the victim.

1 point

Physical abuse is horrible, but sometimes verbal abuse can cut deeper than any flesh wound and can be harder to heal.

1 point

Unfortunately for her, the statute of limitations does not run out on a murder case.

1 point

Yes, that would annoy me.

I have heard many white people talk ghetto as well as blacks that have no hint of race in their speech. Making the distinction between the two just sounds racist to me. It really doesn't matter what race you are to be a racist. People are people, who will talk however is the most comfortable to them. But to say a black person is talking white , IMO, is racist. They may have been raised in an environment where that type of speech was common. That would be like you saying I'm talking white because I don't say to you." Hau, me likem you heap much. Stereotyping is wrong, whatever race is doing it.
