Maybe in US, your prison system is is ridiculously expensive failure but in more modern countries where's public healthcare system that is funded by tax money, druggies cause much more accidents/incidents and that cost more money. About 12% of all fatal road accidents are caused by pot smokers and the number rapidly grows.
But there's also the ideological arguments, like that the government doesn't have the right to tell us what to put in our bodies Yes it does, people on hallucinogens can harm others, people on drugs need more treatment = costs more public money...
There is no need to disprove something that has never been proved into existence in a first place.
Otherwise with your (failed) logic pig farms should have should have nets over them to prevent pigs from flying away, because nobody disproved pigs ability to fly...
I have found proof that makes sense to me that ties in with scripture to say "God of the Bible Exists". So if I write a book that says that bible is a lie, you will become atheist because "my book says so" ?
