I think FFVII was the stepping stone for modern day games period, but my all time fav Final Fantasy would have to be FFVIII. The storyline was great and it introduced some awesome side content.

PC by far. If a game is on another console, you can just emulate it!

I only use PC. I have the whole CS3 package opened up on two screens pretty much 14 hours a day. NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM! Mac is just a piece of shit. PC has more power.
