Was that a crack at the Affordable Care Act ?

One doesn't have to make a choice, because there isn't a choice. Hillary is the best person for the job. Trump speaks before he thinks, this type of person is extremely dangerous as a countries leader. The role of President takes diplomacy, not insanity.

I'm semi-serious. I know that times were hard, but who says hard-times aren't also enjoyable? I know of several very poor folks and they seem to be very happy, almost out of touch with reality. They live a care-free life, unburdened by those things in which most people think you have to have. No house payments, no electric bill, no car payments, no cell phones etc., they get food from food pantries and move to warmer climates hitch hiking. One couple has wondered around doing basically nothing for years and they have nothing to show for it. John plays the guitar on the street for donations and his wife dabbles in custom jewelry she makes. Basically lost in the Hippie generation that was before my time and theirs. I have known this one couple now for nine years and when they wonder back in town, they look me up. There are people very happy without the luxuries of life so many think are absolute necessities.

How do know that those that lived in the 1800's were not happy?

Most people in 1800's carried guns; How does that make them less safe?

As far as being less healthy, those that lived had to be very healthy to survive.

How do you measure success?

Yes we now live longer and enjoy those years being shoved into an old folks home where they medicate these folks until they become vegetables so they aren't any trouble to take care of. "I'd say it's an improvement."

Most parents cannot even tell you where their 14 year old kid is today, back then you knew where they were. At work.

And of course the time spent with family has also improved due to technology, you can now tell them how much their loved via text message. Nothing says I love you like a good car crash.

The button they should wear is something more along these lines.....

Come join our church, because we hate yours.

Duh!!! Lets see if had the power, I'd make laws that are no benefit to me. Yep that's what I'd do.

Have you seen the news? Racial inequality still exists .

I believe that teachers up to the college level should be held to a higher standard than that of typical society. Young people are easily influenced. There is also the fact that schools are funded by taxpayers money and the taxpayer should be given the top of the line, not the bottom of the barrel.

As far as I know leaders are people and people are not made but born. This being the case one can assume leaders are at least born first, then who knows?

I did have one, thanks for making that image a reality .

Get a grip dude, the USA is not owned by the Japanese.

Look at Figure 6 on your link. Too bad you don't understand the information you provided. Pay close attention to the years Reagan was President in Figure 6 and during this time Japanese was the investors.

Have you seen our national debt under Obama?

Yep. Reagan added greatly to this. Bush Jr. added to it with bailout programs that Obama got stuck with.

Have you seen our disastrous foreign policy under Obama?

Lately it is not foreign countries that have been terrorizing the USA, but home grown terrorist. Foreign policy is working, revised domestic policy could use some work.

Have you seen the worsened under employment under Obama?

Need interpreter.

Are you even paying any attention at all to the terrorist attacks on our soil under Obama?

Already addressed this issue under foreign policy.

Really ----- care to look back at your earlier post again? Geeeeee dude.

The mention of Japanese doesn't imply prejudice, only participation.

Where is your imagined problem with Reagan?

I didn't imagine he sold the USA to Japan, he did it. Since you don't seem to have a problem with foreign countries taking over the USA; What is your stance on immigration? By the way, it is you that imagines Reagan as something he is not.

Do you have any comments about Obama?

Yes. He has done a fair job of recovering from dumb-dumb's (Bush) disasters that stemmed from 9/11. Bush failing to act put the economy in downward spiral. Failure to control oil profits and insurance rate increases that followed 9/11, he let his friends get rich at everyone else's expense.

Or are you just venting on the Japanese?

I have no problem with the Japanese, but since you mentioned this you must have one.

For those that think Reagan was so great, he is responsible for selling the U.S.A. out from under us. Under his Reaganomics plan, he allowed foreign investors to buy up the U.S.A. He boosted the economy buy selling out America. What a great president!!!!!

"As late as 1976, Japanese direct investment in the United States never exceeded 4 percent of the total inward foreign direct investment. After 1976 the share rose annually. Soon Japanese direct investment in the United States was second only to that of the British. By 1989, Japanese direct investment represented roughly 17 percent of the total foreign direct investment in the United States. Japanese investments flowed into the electronics industry—into consumer products (TV production, for example) and producer ones (semiconductor manufacturing, for instance). By 1989 and 1990, Sony and its rival, Matsushita, were participants in $4.8 to $6.6 billion takeovers of American icons in Hollywood. This was all without precedent. And then there were the Japanese car companies: Honda built its first car at Marysville, Ohio, in 1982. Nissans, Toyotas, Mazdas came to be made in America, with production methods different from those used by the top three U.S. auto manufacturers. Ultimately, the American consumer got better quality cars not only from the Japanese, but from American producers as well. The Japanese also entered into American banking. By 1988, U.S. affiliates of Japanese banks and bank holding companies held 10.1 percent of U.S. banking assets. The Japanese became active in American government securities markets. The Japanese companies Nomura Securities, Daiwa Securities, Nikko Securities, and Yamaichi Securities served as primary dealers in the buying and selling of U.S. Treasury bonds."

Regan's years as President; 1981-1989

{In February 2006, Richard Perle gave more insight into CFIUS when he related to CBS News his experience on the panel during the Reagan administration, "The committee almost never met, and when it deliberated it was usually at a fairly low bureaucratic level." He also added, "I think it's a bit of a joke if we were serious about scrutinizing foreign ownership and foreign control, particularly since 9/11."}

It requires a lot of strength to recognise your flaws and work to correct them. Most people never do this. It is cowardice to say "fuck you all, I am the way I am". If there is something wrong you change it.

I believe you have it backwards. It takes more courage to stand alone than with a crowd.

“True rebels hate their own rebellion. They know by experience that it is not a cool and glamorous lifestyle; it takes a courageous fool to say things that have not been said and to do things that have not been done.” ― Criss Jami
