People expect too much from medical science and this could be due to the fact that the rapid advancement from technology. Today, scientific research in formulating cures for various influenza viruses and diseases in order to save lives. In fact, in the decade, it is undeniable to say that there has been a rapid growth in the number of cures and advancements made. Consequently, people today, are very much dependent on medical science and even expect much more from it. Sad to say, there are still many other diseases and illness that does not have a cure. Such as cancer and AIDS. Hence, people are now coming to a point where they are hoping that altering gene cells is seen best for the people where they can totally eradicate hereditary diseases that are deadly, through genetic engineering, even when there is no guarantee of success. Moreover, people are just blinded by the benefits of medical science and neglect the possible harm from the research of medical science.Hence, people may be expecting too highly of medical science.
