This deserves more attention. The top powers in the world want this deal for this very reason. Both sides want sanctions lifted. It gives them the incentive of having a working economy and it gives us the ability to trade with them as well as peace of mind knowing they don't have nuclear weapons.

This is a significant issue. The deal eases the tensions and promotes peace and growth of economies. The deal limits the level of uranium enrichment to 20 percent and the stockpile reduced to 3 percent. This gives people peace of mind as well knowing there is a delay.

True!! It will definitely delay them from having nuclear weapons. People around the world want to begin trading with Iran. It would benefit both sides to form peaceful relationships.

Yeah sure they have a bully pulpit, but that isn't always a good thing. Congressmen can gain a bully pulpit if they are a chairman of a committee. It may not be as effective in your view, but Congress is where the people of the United States get representation, so they are likely to fund their local congressmen more than they would fund the president.

Your supporting claim is very clear and true. Great evidence!!! Really shows how the president can lose power because they are easy to blame!

Just because those clauses are mentioned a lot in my claim doesn't diminish their power. It just clarifies further. I'm providing evidence. Sure the president has the power to deploy troops, but if Congress doesn't fund the army and navy, then the president won't have powerful troops to send. Please provide more evidence.

This argumentative claim is unclear. Executive privilege means the president has the power to withhold information. I think you're confused. How does that "clean up" Congress' mistakes? Please explain further because your claim just doesn't make sense.

They can state executive privilege, but if its already found that they committed a crime, they can't use executive privilege. It doesn't increase congress' power if the next president can undo executive orders, but it limits the power of the president.

The president does have the power to issue an executive order which does expand their power over congress in that situation, but these executive orders can be undone by the next president which ends up limiting their power in the long run.

This is a great argument! This power allows them to have authority over the states and balance some of the power that the president has. This is a power listed in the enumerated powers section of Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution. Congress happens to have the most enumerated powers out of all the branches.

Since congressmen and senators have an unlimited amount of terms, it gives them more power. The president only has 2 terms to voice their opinions about how the country should be run, it gives congressmen more power. TIME LIMIT FOR THE PRESIDENT. Yes, the president has a bully pulpit to get funding, but the incumbency advantage people in Congress have allow them to get more funding and chairmanships by serving in more committees throughout time. Plus, they can gain a pulpit as well since they are known in Congress if they are reelected several times (this is also part of the incumbency advantage.)

Congress is the most powerful branch because it is harder to pass blame on the President than it is to blame Congress, enabling Congress to move more freely. Congress is much larger than just the President alone (535-1) It is harder to blame 535 people than it is to blame a singular person. Federalist 70 states that the president is the one the public's eye turns to in a crisis because they are easier to blame because of the central focus. Plus, the President is always in the public eye through social media and news, so they have to act more favorably because of this. This constricts what they can do in their personal lives as well as professionally.

Congress is the most powerful branch because it has the most enumerated powers and can do anything they find necessary and proper. Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution: Enumerated Powers states that congress has over 15 powers some of which are power of the purse (funding programs and coining money), power to declare war, and the power to impeach government officials that are out of line in order to check the other branches. Also in Article One of the Constitution is the Necessary and Proper clause that states that Congress has the power "to make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or any Department or Officer thereof". This means they can use the elasticity to gain more power and carry out the necessary duties of the branch. Federalist 51 even states that the legislative branch is the strongest in terms of the number of powers. Even though the plan split the branch into two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate, the branch still has the most enumerated powers.

A standing army will make the country more powerful against other nations as well making the country more organized because laws will be enforced. “What about the standing army being tyrannical?” you may ask. The answer is militias staying, but just being regulated. This will be your protection.

(Constitution Article 1.8 enumerated powers—340)

I understand your anxiousness to have a standing army, but what you don’t understand is that militias are still intact. They will just be regulated and have rules for training, stocking armories, and staying up to standard. The reason for this is so that if the standing army is unnecessarily forceful, you have a protection. Yay!

(Constitution- Article 1.8 enumerated powers)

You can find this on page 340 paragraphs 2-3.

There will be checks and balances! (Federalist 51) It's you anti-federalists that are manipulating the system to get rid of all your debt!

You are making an interesting claim, but a strong government has checks and balances (Federalist 51) as well as representatives that you get to vote on in your state! The common man is going to manipulate the system for debt forgiveness, but elites will represent common people and LONG TERM interests. (page 304) Since you don't like the necessary and proper clause, would you be fine with no healthcare, schools, or banks?

Federalists are not trying to take away your liberties and your ability to participate in government. We just want to provide a stable government with highly educated people so that decisions aren't selfish and manipulated for debt forgiveness. (page 300) Your power to vote on your representatives will protect revenue bills.(page 303) Although James Madison said that people in power will be selfish, good government will not depend on good people. It will depend on structure that keeps interests and people competing and putting brakes on each other. (page 302)

A large republic with a centralized government is the best idea for our government structure because it will have a larger talent pool and checks and balances.
