It's be cool If I can use DVR to record my dreams so I can watch them later! Even the nightmares! :D
I want to remember those sweet dreams of me and the girls I like :)
I also want to see my nightmares to see how ridiculous they are or if they are actually scary, I can enjoy a good horror film :O
I also want to see all those times when I'm actually aware that I'm in a dream and manipulating it to my whim.
I think it'd be cool remembering those dreams :)
If the aliens are intelligent, we don't know how they will communicate. It's likely that they will speak something other than English. I'm sure we can figure out a way to communicate once we find them though.
They may not be humanoid either and may evolve differently though with the trait of being an intelligent life form. But yeah, I think we just need the technology and the right instruments to find and contact other intelligent life forms.
I think having ideologies being trivialized to a sporting event will not be fun. We don't want people going around saying that, CAPITALISM is better because our basketball team won! or ALLAH is the one and true God because we win in boxing! Sports is suppose to be fun and enjoying to watch, not a forum for politics.
Even though you may get cheaper goods from outsourcing, the employment opportunities of Americans decrease which makes it tougher for those people to afford the cheaper goods or at least to some extent, ruin the point of getting it cheaper the first place since the average income that everyone makes is reduced to what it could have been. Outsourcing affects the lower and middle class, which is a decent chunk of America. If products were manufactured in the US, the goods might be more expensive, but the average consumer can afford it since they have a higher employment opportunity and are more capable of affording the more expensive, but higher quality American goods.
Technology is a tool. It merely amplifies the action of a user. Don't blame the technology, blame the user for the effects.
A knife, can be used to cut food, can also be used to stab a person.
A hammer, can be constructive and help in the process of building, can also be used as a blunt weapon.
The Internet, can be used to gather information from many sources, can also be used to release malicious software in the form of viruses, worms, etc.
Nuclear weapons, can be used to kill millions, can be used to deter attacks and save lives.
I'm just pointing out that technology isn't inherently "bad" or "good". It's just a tool.
