stupid atheists, having opinions and such. have you ever seen an athiest protest against people who do believe in god or against what they believe? no. you see some internet rants. and conversations against it.

have you seen Christians protesting things that they don't believe in? yes! gay marriage, etc.

thats why they changed the bill and ran it through again, so it wasn't the same.

you got that from fox new right?

some people just believe everything their told. stupid.

The more extreme Christians (like the one who started this debate) thinks that they are entitled to something. Don't they get it? Separation of church and state. What's there not to understand here. They think that everyone in the US should live by there moral standards. Newsflash idiots, you are not everyone, and not everyone is Christian.

Why don't you ask a few gay people?

I'm pretty sure that someone who's not can't really answer that.

This is the difference between humans and animals.

Animals learn from their instincts and entirely on what their parents have taught them on how to survive, with a few, minor exceptions.

In humans, we develop our own thought. True, it's usually influenced by our ancestors and history and past event's, but we make progress. We constantly come up with new ideas defying the old and improving life. To give this right up to a child is creating a mindless, imagination less brainwashed zombie kid who is run by tradition and not his own thoughts, like most animals.

Even if there was only one religion, people still would have different opinions. Only when every human being is accepting of every other human beings practices and religions and opinions will there actually be a better place. If we had one religion, there would be a lot of positive changes.

Yeah we should! Who's to deny you the right of freedom of expression? It's only when action is taken that it becomes an issue.

Ahhh, yes. Of course everyone who does weed will do other drugs. Clearly you don't know anyone who smokes weed and your just reciting the DARE propaganda they told you. If something harmless like weed can lead to something dangerous like meth, than drinking milk leads to vodka. Not everyone who smokes weed is stupid enough to try any other drug. And you don't build up tolerance and NEED something. I know tons of people who smoke everyday and get better grades than non smokers, haven't tried any other drugs, and are less zombie like than someone spouting out propaganda someone told to them.

And btw, all my friends who smoke are usually A LOT more interesting than people who don't.

Well our invasion has led to 1,400,000...

I don't think it's that unreasonable.

Oh yes, because you don't want to live in a world like that, no one else should! How dare anyone else want to do something that you disagree with! What a terrible crime! And did you know that if it was legalized, it could be easily grown in any house that has electricity and water?!!?! Good thing we don't have to tax things we make ourselves. I love pot, but think meth is a terrible thing. But I'm not gonna tell anyone they can't smoke pot or do meth because I don't like it. That's what an ignorant person as yourself would want. And also, maybe if we legalized weed which has less health problems as opposed to cigs and alcohol, we wouldn't have to legalize meth, because it has shown it's devastating to your health. If we legalize weed, you don't HAVE to legalize other drugs moron.

Your argument has failed my friend.

Because religion often contradicts science, which is proven. And when something that's proven wrong is in a book with a bunch of other stuff in it, I think it's pretty fair to question the other words in that book. So when the bible says the Earth is flat, and it's round, maybe the book isn't too accurate...

This is how God is justified..

bible tells you to believe in god god tells you to believe the bible the bible tells you to belive in god god tells you to believe in the bible, etc. etc. etc. etc.

of course god is real!

People have a right to kill themselves. People know about lung cancer and addiction. If people know the dangers, theres no point in denying them. Their going to get it anyway.

1 point

Who is the government to tell people what is good and bad for them? Caffeine kills 400 people a year, and weed kills none. Starbucks doesn't take shit though. I love weed, and it's been shown to improve brain function after your 18, but before it slows down growth a bit. The government has no right to tell people that its illegal when bogeys f up your lungs more and alcohol kills your brain even more, and both of them together kill wayyyyyyyyyy more than pot.

This is so true...

I hate those fucking stranger danger campaigns..

Maybe instead of promoting fear we should promote acceptance to everyone instead of teaching kids to automatically assume everyone is an enemy.

Is this an actual question?

About 4,000 years, and there still sexism... It's kinda depressing.

Being a former Jew, this is mad offensive. But I don't believe in censorship. Mods shouldn't be removing comments from a debate website. That totally defeats the purpose.

PE shouldn't be mandatory because not everyone needs/wants to exercise.

Math shouldn't be mandatory because not everyone needs/wants math.

Lab shouldn't be mandatory because not everyone needs/wants science.

Lab is a waste of time for someone who is going to major in Shakespeare, as PE is a waste of time for someone who is going to major in math...

If a kid is gonna be a fata$$ he's gonna be a fata$$. You can give him the ups and downs of being a lard and lets them choose for themselves.

Yes, the Confederate flag stands for terrible things like racism, slavery, etc. But it's people's rights to freedom of speech and opinion. If someone can get rid of the Confederate flag because people think it's bad, than someone can ban pictures of Bush or Obama because they don't like them. Simple as that.

Well a gun is different than big macs and knives, because a gun was solely designed to kill things. And when someone says guns don't kill people, people do, that's like saying pencils don't draw, people do. You draw with a pencil. You kill with a gun.

It would be impossible to get rid of guns. Of course it would be a bad thing because people love their guns for hunting, killing, etc. If your "great purpose" of guns is death, than yes, they do serve a purpose. It's my personal belief that violence and hate only results in more violence and hate. If America stopped killing people, no one would hate us.

The two reasons why people use guns in America:

1. Get things like money, power, respect (kill people, hold up stores, stuff like that)

2. Protect us from each other because we want money, power, etc. If we all had equal money, power, and respect, there wouldn't be any competition, therefore no hate, no greed, etc.

We can outlaw guns all we want, but we're always gonna find ways to kill people. You gotta attack the root of the emotion that makes people want to use guns to make people realize gun's won't get any real work done.
