To help our nation not become an anarchy we need to adopt the constitution. The constitution will give us structure. The national government has no power to tax so it is falling into debt. The states are taxing it's citizens way too much and the people need the government to regulate it. Letting our governments be controlled by popular forces will cause anarchy and civil war and some states have already slid into self-destruction. We need a strong unified nation and the constitution will help us come together and prevent us from continuing on the downward spiral that we are on. The Anti-federalists are frightened believing that the national government will take away the natural rights of life, liberty, and property. However, the preamble emphasizes the importance of individual rights. The constitution is in the interest of the public good
