King Kong has about a 1/1,000,000 chance of even surviving, let alone winning. As said before, King Kong is only about the size of Godzilla's hand. And as if that wasn't enough already, Godzilla also has sharp teeth and claws, a bunch of beams that would surely roast Kong, and a big tail!
Ummm...yeah! Anybody can be impressive if they have power-ups. That's like saying that a football player is the best ever because he won the Super Bowl due to being on steroids.
And Sonic does alot more than defeat Dr. Eggman (who by the way is a mad scientist who has an I.Q. of 300, so give him SOME credit). Do you know how many times he's saved the world? Do you know the amount of powerful villains that are capable of the apocalypse that Sonic's defeated? Did you know that in Super Smash Bros Brawl: Subspace Emissary, Sonic saved all the other characters from being turned back into trophies by Tabuu?
And do you wanna know how Santa Clause delivers all those gifts in one night? He doesn't! He hires Sonic The Hedgehog to do it!
That's pretty sad when that's the only way Mario even stands a chance against Sonic is by his fans cheating for him. And besides, I hate to break it to you, but Sonic's still winning.

Also, you don't know squat about Sonic. Super Sonic is invincible and in the old games Sonic could get an Invincibility shield and turn invincible for about approxiamately as long as Mario's star power.
Get your facts straight.
I've got news for you: alot of people love Sonic! He's a video game icon, too. Sure not as iconic as Mario, but still he's wayyy too popular and beloved for you to say he's good for nothing.
Oh, and Mario may be able to brake bricks with one fist, but he also dies if he gets touched by a mere mushroom and/or turtle. Knuckles can also break bricks with one punch and Sonic takes him on all the time. And besides, Sonic can crush robots that are made of steel, which is stronger than bricks.
And Bowser may be more powerful than Dr. Eggman, but Bowser (and anyone else Mario's ever faced) would be destroyed by some of Sonic's other bosses such as Solaris, Dark Gia, Dark Queen, Time Eater, Perfect Chaos, Alf Layla wa-Layla, Shadow and Metal Sonic.
If you've ever seen the movie Space Jam, all of the Looney Tunes (including RoadRunner) would've gotten captured by those aliens had Michael Jordan not played basketball with. Yet another reason why you can't say that RoadRunner is faster because he's "never been captured".
In "The Wild Chase", both Roadrunner and Speedy Gonzales were beaten in a race by a mere rocket, while outrunning rockets is pretty much part of Sonic's daily schedule!
First of all, no the kart isn't allowed. Next, no it can't go faster than Sonic. Sonic can run faster than the speed of sound. Last, if Mario gets help then so does Sonic which means he can become Super Sonic, which can fly and go even faster.
Not true! Sure Mario takes on powerful bosses, but Sonic has taken on robots of every kind, Chaos (an embodyment of water that can get stronger with every chaos emerald he absorbs), the Dark Queen (the grandaughter of Merlin himself), Dark Gaia (a GOD that can rip the continents apart), Erazor Djinn (an all-powerful genie), Shadow (a mere image of Sonic himself), the Biolizard (the prototype of ultimate life form), the Time Eater (a villain that controls time and space), and Solaris (a freakin' sun god)!
Sonic has taken on alot tougher opponents than Mario.
Sonic has taken on Knuckles, who can also break bricks with one fist and much, much more!
Sonic also has power-ups of his own. He has a variety of shields: an Invincibility shield (which lasts as long as Mario's star power), a Water shield (which allows him to breathe underwater), a Fire shield (which makes him invulnerable to fire), a Lightning shield (which is magnetic and helps him jump higher), and just a regular shield, all of which are also good for deflecting one deadly blow.
He has his Wisps from Sonic Colors.
Yellow Wisp: turns Sonic into a drill
Cyan Wisp: turns Sonic into a laser
Blue Wisp: turns Sonic into a cube (which can kill enemies the same way Mario's stone block does)
Green Wisp: turns Sonic into a hovercraft
Pink Wisp: turns Sonic into a spikeball
Purple Wisp: turns Sonic into a berserker chomper
Violet Wisp: turns Sonic into a black hole
Orange Wisp: turns Sonic into a rocket
Red Wisp: turns Sonic into a fireball
And then let's not forget all of Sonic's super froms. Super Sonic (which yes, IS invincible), Hyper Sonic (which can do everything Super Sonic can do and more), Darkspine Sonic, Excalibur Sonic, and his werehog form.

Sonic has taken on Knuckles who can easily punch bricks with one punch. Not to mention Knuckles can also punch down nearly every tree in the forest in mere seconds! Knuckles is also faster than Mario, so if Sonic can take him on then he can definately take on Mario.
I like Sonic's games better and I like him better than Mario as a character. Mario ALWAYS relies on his power-ups to save him while Sonic has used power-ups many times as well, but even without them he has his super speed. Even without power-ups, Sonic has taken on many formidable opponents such as Knuckles, Shadow, Chaos, Metal Sonic and of course, Dr. Eggman.
Not that I don't like Mario, because I do. I just think Sonic's cooler.
I love both games, but I like Sonic better. I feel his games have more action (with him being fast and all), better music, cooler characters and unlike Mario games you don't die after getting simply hit by an enemy (provided you have atleast 1 ring).
I also think Sonic is a cooler character.
To all the Road Runner voters who say that he would win because he's never been caught by Wile E. Coyote but Sonic has been caught by Dr. Robotnik/Eggman,GET A CLUE!
That's not even fair.
1. While Road Runner has ONLY fought Wile E. Coyote, Sonic has fought a HUGE variety of villains other than Dr. Robotnik.
2. Dr. Robotnik has an IQ of 300, more than the coyote's I'm sure.
3. If you add up the number of all the video games, comic books and cartoon series I'm positive that Sonic has had alot more chances to have gotten caught than the Road Runner has.
4. There have been many times where Road Runner should've been caught but you know Looney Tunes, THE PREY MUST ALWAYS WIN!
A hug can be betwen any two people but kisses are normally only for a pair of lovers. In other words, a hug is a nice way that you can show love/friendship to anyone whereas kisses have to be shared with one person and one person only.
Many people claim to have seen it over the centuries (the very earliest being Saint Columbia), so I don't think that very many people are seeing pink elephants.

Sonic because he's faster AND smarter and he's not fat, slow and addicted to drugs like Mario is.
