...nope. Meat is food. Get used to it.
It's done (in norwegian): http://www.arekalvo.no/indeks.asp?id=172
"He's a socialist"...
Seriously. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Where do you get your facts? Have you ever met one?
I'm surrounded by socialists every day and for the most part they're good people. In my opinion so is Obama. But he IS NOT a socialist.
At last tourists from USA won't have to say they're from Canada.
In a perfect world anarchism would work. In the real world, under the right circumstances, socialism would work. Today capitalism seems to work. Or so they keep telling us anyway...
Still my vote goes to the tree hugging, weed smoking, Lenin loving, Trabant driving socialists.
The abolishment of the death penalty is considered an advancement in most societies. I don't think there's any murders so cold, calculated and heartless as those commited by the state in countries where this is still the practice.
I can understand the need for revenge but this gets us nowhere.
Influenza pandemic alert raised from phase 4 to 5 at World Health Organization. It states that "all countries should immediately activate their pandemic preparedness plans". And I just read in the newspaper they fear half of Norway could be knocked out.
That being said, I feel the media is blowing the whole ting out of proportion. It's serious, yes, but take a step back, take a deep breath (possibly wearing a face mask) and see the big picture. There's a good chance you'll survive this one too :)
Depends on the God or Goddess. Tor has his hammer, Medusa turns you into stone, Shiva wrecks your stuff to make room for whatever and the god better known as God puts anyone in hell who dares question his eternal love.
Humans created their gods with great care. You're not supposed to be able to criticize them. That's the whole point of being a god.
Lets travel in time and criticize the people who came up with this nonsense...
Depends on a number of factors. In many ways it's actually better for non-tech savvy users as it is far more difficult to "shoot yourself in the foot". A pre-installed linux box (Ubuntu?) would be perfect for people with no computer experience. If, on the other hand, they're already in "Windows mode" a switch to Linux will be more painful. But I've converted I few in my time :)
No. I don't believe in any supernatural being and I've never understood why people would want to complicate their lives with one. I think inter-human relations might be the one thing that earthlings struggle most to succeed in, and at the same time this is where we frequently fail miserably. Often because we throw some kind of deity into the mix.
The argument that religion is the driving force behind good deeds seems to me like a lack of faith in mankind. "Yes, I'll give money to charity, but only if there's a unicorn behind that tree".
If religion is the only thing stopping you from becoming an egocentric bastard with no respect for human values you should seek help.
For me it's Ubuntu (or Kubuntu). I get my work done, it supports all my hardware far better than Windows ever did, there's loads of software, it's safe(r) and it's free. And yes, I can still play "Team Fortress 2" and "Warcraft" :)
I remember this question from way back when I was a hardcore Amiga user arguing with those silly Mac guys :)
