But "marriage" is defined as a man and a woman being bound in holy matrimony. So why go all out trying to change the definition when you can settle both sides peacefully and just make a new word that heterosexual couples cannot use? And then expand that word to become as sacred as the term "marriage"! That is like was closer to a middle ground in which both sides should be satisfied and we can drop the subject once and for all.

It is just like when blacks were getting married they would jump over a broom together during the slave times and were considered "married". White supremists tried to say that they could not use the word marriage because it applied to only white folk, however this was overturned by the Supreme Court with the notion that "marriage" is a holy union between any man and any woman. And that it had no connotation to race or color. They couldn't change the definition back then, and I highly doubt we will succeed in changing the definition today.

Orange is because it is much more vibrant and just kind of pops out at you to look at wherever the color is. It draws the eye much more than the blue.

I finally read the article, and this one sentance is REALLY pissing me off: "The stamp described above exists, although it is neither new nor a Christmas stamp: It is a seven-year-old USPS holiday series stamp comemmorating two Islamic holidays that have no connection to Christmans."

The only way it could possibly "hurt" anyone is if someone let themselves be hurt by this upcoming acceptance of Gays into society. We had the same issues with blacks integrading into society and women getting voting rights. The only reason it could possibly hurt someone is if they have a stubborn view on the world that makes them believe gays are in the wrong and should not be allowed the same rights as heterosexual people. "History must repeat itself because we pay such little attention to it the first time." That is what is happening right now.

Truth is not necessarily something that can be proven, rather something that is believed among a mass of people, or even a single person for that matter. As long as someone can support this truth with evidence to persuade us to believe this "truth" then it is truth itself. So if someone can say that the Torah is evidence to G-d being truth, and has a good argument, then it is truth. And hasn't G-d lead to more great truths than anyone else anyways? Therefore making himself truth.

I think the whole issue with Gay couples is that they want to have their own word that recognizes them as a legal couple that is equally as treasured as the word "marriage". So if we can create a new word, and make it just as sacred and important, the issue should be resolved.

I feel as though I did nothing wrong or inappropriate or deserving of this behavior from my teacher. She doesn't mind when the Mexicans in our class speak in broken english, nor does she mind when the Ghetto people speak in slang, but all of a sudden she docks me for using a complex and formal version of the english language? I wasn't trying to be a smartass, I was just writing in a style in which I hath adopted to be mine own whilst I have studied the Shakespearean ways. So I believe thy english teacher was in the wrong and students should'st be permitted to use a formal writing technique in their essays.

That is all a matter of relativity. I'm 15 and at times I believe that I know more on certain subjects than my parents, however at times I feel that other adults know much more than I because they have had more experience than I have. But in a more litteral sense adults typically are smarter because they have had a more complete education than we have.

Of course a Socialist like Obama believes that the Government has the right to distribute people's taxes, but he is so full of shit when he says this. America is not a Socialist contry, it is run on a Democratic basis where everyone has equal oportunity in participating in government and everyone has equal opportunity to live the American dream. "Spreading the wealth" takes away the American dream from all those who have worked their asses off and earned to live the American dream. There is a reason that people with lower incomes get what they make: they didn't care enough to make it so that they could make more. Everyone should pay equal taxes and it isn't the government's right to decide who gets more money.

Honestly if Obama becomes president I will be scared for the lifestyle I have become accustumed to live in because my family makes enough money that we will have to "spread" our wealth however because of certain expenses we are experiencing (one child going to an Ivy League college) we just simply will not be able to handle this immense tax increase and still live in the luxery that I have grown up with. So anyone who supports Obama should look into deapth about what this one little belief of his does to their lifestyle first before election days.

Not to bag on McCain, but as these people who were interviewing in this clip plainly put it, they don't want Obama as president because he is Black or because he is Muslim. They don't ONCE mention his political policies or anything like that as a reason against voting for him. So this is just one small reason that we should instate presidential tests before voting so that we will have a less biased society.
