Well, I learned the basics of HTML, and I thought it was interesting. I'm pretty interesting in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, which I understand is for programming web sites. I hope I make it to that point, but I'm still working on simple little programs in the command prompt as of now!

Hey John, thanks for reaching out. I do think a live chat feature would be a cool addition. We do have that feature on our roadmap. Maybe a checkbox when you create a debate that will allow you to include a live chat within the blue box. Our development time is pretty booked for the next 2 months or so (you'll see) but might be able to pull it off by mid-summer.
