Omnidave, I desperately need information. Mainstream media is completely inadequate at providing accurate information to choose a US President. Consider the most important criteria:
good judgment, effective leadership, negotiation skills, a proficient diplomat. How do I discern between the two candidates? Running an effective campaign has no bearing on future behavior of the chief executive (see: Castro, Fidel).
I want to know who McCain and Obama will select for US Supreme Court Justices. Who will they hire to run the DoD? Treasury? Who will advise them on a daily basis? How will they build consensus within Congress? How will they react in a crisis? How will they represent our nation to other States? At what thresholds will they veto legislation? Where does one find such information?
Just posted to your debate, thank you for the invite! Just as an FYI, you can invite people to the debate by clicking the "Share This Debate" link in the sub-menu in any debate.
Indeed :]. I can't get over how much there is to do here. I'm still just getting to know the area.
Hey. I added my 2 Cents to your debate topic. I wish I could have had some more relevant info reguarding the link provided, but it's late and my computer won't load your article or w/e it was you linked us to. Sorry, but thanks for the personal invite!
(Those invites through the email sort of piss me off because of how automatic they are....) ^_^
Regarding your debate 'Does The American Legal System Need Reform?' I have no opinion, I'm not an American so it doesn't affect me - I hope!
hey you live in Austin? I just moved to the area! We love it here...
Excellent post btw, I love the "justice flows out of the barrel of the biggest machine gun"
