Oh yes, capitalist China, you're right. After the Chinese Capitalist Revolution where Mao Zedong (who loved being tucked in bed while Joseph Stalin read him the Capitalist Manifesto) created the sole party state controlled by the Capitalist Party of China. Where did I go wrong? Guess I should go back to school.
Jose, after writing such a great reply to Marcus I would encourage you to lose the sarcasm and investigate further. It's easy to mock when you are only provided with short conclusions minus any history, reasoning or explanation, but FM is actually spot on. Let me lay out my reasoning.
Firstly, just because someone claims to be something, does not necessarily mean they are that thing which they claim to be. This should be perfectly obvious of course, but it is often forgotten when a political agenda is involved. The most overt example is perhaps Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, who purported to embrace certain left wing ideas in order to win votes from the German left in the midst of a Communist uprising in Eastern Europe. There was no truth to it of course, because the Nazis were far right authoritarian wingnuts who literally murdered everyone in their own party who even hinted at being persuaded by liberal/socialist/communist ideology (i.e. Night of the Long Knives is the most famous example of such a purge).
Secondly, by its very definition, Communism abhors state rule, because it interprets the state to be a manifestation of the ruling class. Under genuine Marxist theory, the means of production are to be taken by the working class, and this should eventually lead to an erosion of state apparatus as the need for the state becomes obsolete. One has to be very careful when discussing Marxism because one has to be acutely aware that there was a Cold War going on for half a century, with much propaganda and false information being proliferated by both sides. It is ironic really that Americans in particular see themselves as experts on Marxism, despite living in the centre of an anti-Marxist bubble for approximately the last 70 years. I don't know if you are American or not, so that wasn't a reference to you, more a personal observation.
Finally, China follows a practice of economy academics refer to as "state capitalism". You should probably read the Wiki on it, because it will explain better than I can, but I will just leave a quote to support my statement:-
Many analysts assert that China is one of the main examples of state capitalism in the 21st century

You seem to be a refreshing breath of fresh air compared to the usual brand of far right wingnut this site attracts, so I just wanted to try to convince you not to automatically reject the claim being made. The poster actually does know what he's talking about. He just likes to be blunt.
