People think it would be ok to cross the border illegally which it is not and you must sign a paper if you want to cross the border it is simple.

If it were "simple" there would be no need for debate or discussion. If someone has a passport and simply want to cross the border for a vacation, that is easy enough. However, trying to gain entry for asylum or to gain citizenship is a long and expensive process.

Today we found out once again that our failure to control illegal immigration and our inability to manage the current caseload of people applying for immigration benefits poses a lethal risk to the nation... terrorists can and will take advantage of the same unenforced immigration policies that have flooded this country with illegal immigrants - we now have irrefutable proof that the terrorists understand where we are vulnerable. We can be certain that there are many more terrorists who entered the country illegally or overstayed visas therefor the wall will be a great help to contest terrorists from getting in the us.

You brought up Visa overstays in your last sentence and I would like to clarify something. A wall will not affect any of the illegal immigrants who overstay Visas. They come to the country legally and always have (those who get Visas and overstay them). In the article that I linked to my argument (which went more into depth about Visa overstays) it says that roughly 600,000 immigrants overstayed their Visas to the United States in 2017.

Your point about overstaying visas is valid. For those who are currently thinking of overstaying their visa, will the wall potentially deter them? If they overstay and ultimately get deported, it is usually ten years before you are allowed re-entry. If illegal entry has seemed relatively easy up until now, will a wall make it appear more challenging and decrease visa overstays?

How are they a social burden? What exactly does that mean? How are they an economic burden?

Homelessness, inequality and food insecurity pose a lethal risk to the nation so why don't you build a wall around those things you worthless little shill? America has managed to last a good few hundred years without having a wall on its southern border so your reporting of a fictional crisis only exposes you as a political shill who should be permanently ignored. Indeed, in very familiar fashion, you are using multiple accounts to write a long succession of biased comments because you want to create the false impression that your insane opinions are popular. It's pathetic, dishonest, and proves that you are a thorough piece of shit. This is the exact same way you murderous little bastards pushed the war in Iraq onto us. You created a fictional crisis.

Capitalism creates an abundance of food, the problem is the inept wankers who can't afford it due to their own laziness and inferiority. instead of whining about inequality constantly why don't you just admit you are an inferior little bitch and that's why you are of lower status than others in society. Also, if you care about the homeless why don't you donate to them instead of getting the government to steal money from conservatives who donate more than you in the first place.

if immigrants are just freely able to come in and out of the us then there is no telling what they're planning so just to be safe from any types of attacks buld the wall!!

If you are allowed to just go where you please then there's no telling what you might be planning, so we should put a wall around your house.

Oh no wait. That's stupid, just like what you said is stupid.

Weird how almost all terrorism in America is committed by angry white supremacist retards like yourself, not Mexican immigrants. You asshats are the literal return of the Nazis.

Donald Trump first said Mexico was gonna pay for it, now America does because Mexico declined paying for it multiple times, so because of this America has to pay for it which is a giant waste of money and time. That is not the only promise Trump broke, he also said it would be up to 2000 mi. long, now it could be 700 or maybe even less

Was it not a waste of money if Mexico paid for it? The need for the wall and the cost (and who pays for it) are separate issues. One may agree that we need the wall, but still reject US funds pay for it.

Side: Yes, we should.

Although it seems backwards, building a border wall on the southern border between the United States and Mexico would deter illegal immigrants from the south from returning home. The statistics I posted on my earlier argument highlighted the fact that more Mexican immigrants were leaving from the US to Mexico than the other way around in the year 2017. A border wall would stop the majority of illegal immigrants from leaving back across the border.

yeah Donald Trump being racist has nothing to do with this. So debate not talk about DT being racist. Debating is the thing you should be worrying about. A good idea I have is if the wall was built they should at least have up to 9 or 10 openings with guards and back up guards in case that person has a weapon.

How does donald trump being "racist " have anything to do with the fact that the wall should or should not be created. Also im curious as to what is happening to women because I haven't read anything about things happening to women from building this wall.

I have heard of women and children being victims of sex trafficking across the border. Women and children trying to cross the border illegally are also more susceptible to attacks and violence.

A little under half of all illegal immigrants travel to the United States in 2017, traveled here legally by legal means and overstayed their visits in the United States. They overstay their Visas and purposefully stay here illegally, knowing that there isn’t much to be done to stop them. An article will be linked below showcasing Visa overstay statistics among other things, from 2017.
