A few people answered my questions on forcing businesses to cater controversial events.

So therefore I will answer some of their questions posed to me...

1) First of all, it is not myself saying Homosexuality is a sin, it is God's word in the Bible saying this. The particular sin of a person does not create a bigger chance of going to Hell.
People go to Hell for not accepting Christ as Lord, and not accepting his sacrifice for their sins.
So therefore Gays who reject Christ (as with any person) will end up in Hell, not because of any one sin, and not because their sin is greater than other's.

No matter your sin, Christ died for those sins, and provides the only way to Heaven.
According to the Bible, none are good enough to work their way to heaven. Salvation through works is not possible.
People in the world actually think they are good while supporting the taking of innocent life in the womb. Innocent lives that God says he already knows before birth!

2) Every sin we partake of is a choice. Who forces a Gay man to have sex with another man? Who forces straight people to have sex with someone they don't love, or cheat on a spouse? Being tempted by something God speaks against is not the sin. Acting on those temptations is the sin.

Pedophiles say they are born that way and have no choice. If that were true, would it excuse their desires if acted upon with a consenting child?
Desires and attractions for things in life, does not necessarily make those things ok, or naturral, or normal. (I'm not comparing Pedophiles to Gays, I'm simply showing the fallacy of the Left's arguments)

God himself says we are all born with an evil nature inside. He says we will all be tempted throughout life, but says he gives us the power to ovecome those temptations.

3) As a Christian, I would be going against my faith and against God, if I were to become part of the sin, such as catering a Gay marriage reception. I would be celebrating the sin itself. Can you understand this simple point?
It woud be no different if I were to support a convention for adulterers or swingers or Planned parenthood (where they support killing babies God knows in the womb), or voted for politicians who support abortions, etc.

We should always have the freedom to follow our faith and conscience, over the mandates of political correct activists.
This is why the Left's attempts to force tax payers to pay for abortions, is such a hideous over reach and abuse of power.

This particular battle between private business and activist Gay groups, is not about Homosexuality.
It is about any activist group trying to force people of faith or conscience to ignore their beliefs. The reason we hear so much about Gays is because activist Gays and the Left are most times the insecure arrogant ones trying to force their will on others. Most other special interest groups respect a person's right to disagree.

I also don't believe a man should have the right to have 30 wives. The people in every State should have the freedom to decide these controversial issues, not a couple activist Judges overruling an entire State.

Please don't try to equate a person's skin color with controversial groups. It's ludicrous to suggest such a thing.

Ok, lets hear from the intolerant ones on this site how I'm a homophobe and hater of women, and how I am an ignorant baffoon for my beliefs.

ok. FromWithin, you're a homophobe, a hater of women, and an ignorant buffoon for your beliefs.

That's what he wanted, right? Happy to oblige.

For the record, none of my arguments on the separate thread had to do with you personally hating gays. Each and every one of my scenario responses covered why there was either legitimate objective business rationale for not doing business, or for requiring doing business. There were no shades of gray or ambiguity. Indeed there is no reason to even invoke the sin discussion.

Either the person wanting to do business meets the objective criteria, such as having sufficient money or credit, complying with health rules, not being a physical threat to you, etc., or they don't. But if they meet all the criteria and you say no, because you don't trust or like people of their color or religion or gender, then you're violating civil rights in a constitutional society such as the USA.

God is not sufficient basis to deny service to someone on the basis of bigotry - in the USA. He may be sufficient in other parts of the world, but not here. If you can't stand that then it's time for you to immigrate to somewhere else.
