I am pro-gun and all I see is fault with this argument.

In this case it's a knife wielding maniac, if it were a gun toting maniac, potentially with a partner or two, it wouldn't be so easy for some good Samaritan to just come to the rescue.

Another issue with this is, and you gun crazies love to omit this possibility, not only "good guys" are going to get guns. That's coming from someone who is pro-gun.

For every good fella with a gun, ready to do his civil duty and protect mankind with his second amendment right, their is at least one not so good fella, who got his gun via illegal methods, and doesn't mind using it for illegal purposes, be that sticking up a convenience store, or say shooting a random civilian (the second one not so likely but still a possibility). Then I say their is maybe one mentally unstable person who acquired their gun legally, for every maybe six 'good guys'. Unstable crazies, who just go into buildings and loose their weapons on unsuspecting civilians.

Now this idea that a 'good guy with a gun' is going to save the day, is fine and all, but it doesn't really work unless every single person has a gun, because if not every single person without one, is still at risk of being shot by anyone with one.

Are you past the second amendment right, and believe that not only should guns be legal, but they should be mandatory?

Yeah.... I don't think that the types of guns that Democrats want to ban are the kind that you can easily conceal.

There is only one fool party that wants to make many things MANDATORY & it's not the GOP Party. The GOP believe in freedom to own guns & freedom to have them concealed because when the criminals are not the only ones with guns, they wont be so quick to attack innocent people. That rapist will think twice before he attacks a woman but as always, Democrats & Feminists do not care about women, they care bout taking our guns.

Pro gun right's people have no problem with keeping guns out of the hands of criminals but they will still get them illegally just as people got booze illegally during prohibition. You would think Democrats would have learned something from prohibiting things from law biding citizens.

Only a fool can not see the lunacy in blaming the gun for murders because he is not blaming the knife for so many murders. It's simply obvious that the Left wants to take our guns so they can take even more control of our lives as bigger Government comes down on the people.

Democrats want to ban all guns one little step at time. Do you actually think they are stupid enough to tell you what their real goal is? Their description of so called assault rifles are hunting rifles that hold more than a certain number of rounds.

There are many people who want guns with more than seven rounds for protection in their homes & target shooting.

I guess under the lunacy of Democrats, it is ok to kill seven people but not ten people. How about allowing others to carry guns & there won't be even seven deaths.

If we truly want to save lives, let's ban mounting climbing, or swimming, or hammers, or alcohol, or bars so drinkers don't have to drive home after drinking, or lets ban cars all together in urban areas & force them to ride bikes. Think of the lives saved! Nah... Democrats like to drive cars to work & they like to drink in bars so they only want to ban other's freedoms.

Heck, lets live in the Liberal thought police world where they will tell us all how to live our lives & what hobbies we are allowed to enjoy. Mountain climbing IS FAR too dangerous for your safety don't you know?

I wonder how many kids & adults would have survived attacks if there was but one person with a gun to stop the murders.

I wonder how many innocent kids and adults die each year because of guns..... oh wait I don't have to wonder, there are statistics:

11068 were murdered in 2011 by someone with a gun in the USA. That is almost 70 percent of all murders in the country. 3000 of these are children.

Take all the statistics of how people die & you will find more people are killed with hammers than they are assault rifles. Can you simple minded gun control fanatics understand this? This is not about saving lives, it's about Government control of the people & it is much easier to control an unarmed public than one that can protect itself.
