A university's students to write essay on 9/11 from Al Qaeda's point of view...

An International studies lecturer at Iowa State University is under scrutiny for requiring students taking his course to write an essay giving Al-Qaeda’s and Islam’s point of view for the attacks on 9/11.

According to a College Fix article, “The assignment is part of an International Studies course taught by lecturer James Strohman, who’s taught multiple political science and public administration courses at Iowa State over the years.”

I'm sorry, what is your issue with this? Are you mad at the professor for trying to get his students to understand the situation?

Of course it is. Obviously if someone tries to see another side of things to understand the situation the students will have no choice but to change sides because they are incapable of thinking for themselves, it's just breeding future Islamist's!!! Don't you know?!? queue hands thrown up in the air and mass panic that this teacher is trying to teach the children.....wait....college students...terrorism

Or some random, nonsensical BS like that.

We just watched the newly Liberal education system flip the worldview of the United States in one generation with brainwashing, so no, we don't think most of them can think for themselves.

Starting a debate does not indicate anger. Anything else?

Then why are you just posting a news story with no opinions attached. What do you want to be debated?

Personally, I'm just confused as to what this debate is supposed to be about. To me it just seems like OP posted a news article.
