But that assumes that all women have access to health care. If you actively make it more difficult for low income women to get access to birth control, you will be paying the societal costs anyways. So isn't it more economically sound to pay the incredibly small preventative costs now, rather than paying the larger societal costs later? 1

We already know what the definition of valid medical reason is to the Democrat Party. Their definition is "health of mother" which is code for ALL ABORTIONS FOR ANY REASON AT ANY STAGE! Is depression a health issue? So tell me if a woman wants an abortion a month from birth, what health reason will she use? She will obviously say she is depressed over the pregnancy. Can you grasp why the Left refuses to compromise with the GOP on 20 week abortion limits (unless extreme cases)? THEY ALWAYS USE THE WORDS "HEALTH OF MOTHER" so that all abortions for any reason will be allowed. That is the only wording the extreme radical pro abortion feminist lobby will allow. I agree it's clear what a medical reason is, though whether or not it's valid is debatable. What you define as a valid reason can be very different from me. Watch any formal debate and you'll see terms are always defined for this very reason. When it comes to abortion there are also other terms to define such as murder and life. A blanket statement such as yours, "Abortion is murder..." is too vague. I'm not one to believe life begins at conception, but I also don't believe it begins at birth. Personally I believe life (in the case that murder can be attributed to it) begins with the heartbeat. If a woman is raped, go to your doctor immediately to avoid a pregnancy. This is why you need to define terms as I do not believe there is a single valid medical reason that should permit an abortion after a heartbeat is detected. Firstly murder is the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another so abortion in the first trimester is not murder because a collection of cells has not yet become a human being which by definition is a man, woman, or child of the species Homo sapiens, distinguished from other animals by superior mental development, power of articulate speech, and upright stance. Secondly should any female have to bear a baby that was conceived of the violence of rape or of incest, or failure of contraception or whose quality of life will be minimal due to severe birth defects or malformation Ask yourself if you were that female what would you do 1

I agree with what you say other than the Planned Parenthood reference. Women can get contraceptives from many groups, clinics, and doctors, and they do not need a radical pro abortion Planned parenthood to do so.
