Abortions are a Form of Molestation

Learn it

In a Pacific Grove, California - Lawmakers have passed a law making it a $1000 fine for anyone to molest a Monarch butterfly.

"A 1939 city ordinance authorizes a $1,000 fine for "MOLESTING a butterfly in ANY way."

The people of Pacific Grove have had a long love affair with their butterfly guests and take THEIR PROTECTION very seriously.
 "

In that same respect, an Abortion is a form of Molestation too.

Also we should ban all cancer treatments. Because those little living things in us should have they own rights too.

Removing tumors is a form of non sexual molestation.

Are you claiming that tumors are children and that they are worthy of the protections of our laws?

I'm claiming that a child in the fetal stage of their life is but I know the differences between a child in that part of their life and a tumor.

Do you?

Both, tumor & fetus cannot think or survive on their own .

Borrowing from Idiotbx, here:

Molestation- the act of subjecting someone to unwanted or improper sexual advances or activity (especially women or children).

Resource: wordnetweb.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

So non-sexual molestation would be defined as: the act of... nothing because molestation is a sexual act. Saying non sexual molestation is like saying non-sexual fornication. It doesn't make any sense.

You should include the full definition, the part about to make annoying sexual advances to ;specif : to force physical and usually sexual contact on (as a child). I feel it might be kinda relevant, here.

However if you want to stick with the partial and extremely vague definition of the word, sure, abortions are a form of molestation. So is everything else, including walking, driving, talking, playing music, going to school, digging a hole, getting surgery done, hell, I'm molesting you right now as surely as you're molesting me, if "annoy and disturb" is as specific as we want to get with that definition.

Well done you can read a dictionary. What a clever boy you are. It is true that to molest means to bother snd feotus is bothered by being aborted. What I can't work out is why this is interesting to you or why you'd think this would be interesting to any of us. Maybe it simply is that you're proud of being able to use the dictionary. How odd that would be.

You could have just asked me why it's of any interest to me.

But there's no chance to have a good rant or to make personal attacks in doing that so I understand why you didn't.

Obviously true. An aborted child does not escape -unmolested- from the womb.

Please explain to me ho this makes any sense. Do you know the definition of molest? Because that doesnt fit with abortion. How do butterflies and abortions even correlate?

That comment puts the debate into a better context.

I don't know why others are downvoting you for your comments on this.

It is inarguable (per those legal definitions) that an abortion is a molestation in the legal and criminal sense.

An aborted child is a molested child.

Seeing as how what you really mean is "undisturbed," one small, incomplete part of the definition of "molest," why don't you just say "undisturbed?" If this debate was titled "abortions are a form of disturbing," I think pretty much everyone would agree. But you specifically picked a word with overt and well-known sexual connotations and deliberately chose to ignore all that in favor of using a minor, incomplete part of the definition to make your inflammatory point. This must be why they call you "troll."

You don't seem to understand what the word molest means. A rape is a crime because of the physical (molesting) aspect of the assault. The sexual component is just that... a component or aspect. Do I really need to find you some examples of NON-sexual molestation?

Or is that something you are able to research for yourself?

I'll tell you this, if you find the answers for yourself... you'll not only see my point is valid but you will have a whole new appreciation for the applicability of the word in various situations.

How do butterflies and abortion correlate? I simply do not understand how you possibly tied butterfly molestation and abortion into a valid argument.

"How do butterflies and abortion correlate? I simply do not understand how you possibly tied butterfly molestation and abortion into a valid argument."

Let me try to walk you through it.

A small town in california has a law against 'molesting butterflies in any way." The fine is $1000 if you get caught molesting a butterfly.

There is an abortion clinic in that town where a woman can legally pay someone to kill and remove a (human) child from her womb.

That got me thinking.

Why are the butterflies being afforded more legal protections from molestations than the children are?

So, the comparison is not between butterflies and abortion as you are suggesting.

It's an objective comparison of the priorities of the people and the law makes in both situations where molestations are taking place.

I find it hard to relate these two. Here is why.

Here is the definitions of molest:

Verb

Pester or harass (someone), typically in an aggressive or persistent manner.

Assault or abuse (a person, esp. a woman or child) sexually.

If the woman chose to have an abortion is that abuse? Or assault?

Or are the doctor pestering or harassing her? This debate can't be validated by comparing butterfly molestation to abortion.

Based on its premise, this debate is nonsensical.---------

Side: FALSE

I'd have to say no. Molestation as altrag said, is simply put, To be disturbed.

Based off of that definition, yes, butterflies can and probably often are, molested. They are disturbed to a point that makes them move.

An unborn fetus, is not being disturbed. It does not yet have emotions and is not reacting in a way that is equal to being molested or disturbed.

By this logic, I could molest a card castle, or I am molesting my keyboard.

Using your views as a standard, it would not be possible to molest a person in a coma.

I don't think that's a fact that you intended to establish.

Is it?

Also, I added the legal definitions at the top of the page that might be of interest to you.

Side: TRUE

I see what you mean. I guess a requirement of molestation is life. I neglected that.

I don't think a comatose patient can. I wouldn't consider a coma patient touched on the shoulder to be disturbed by that act.
