One of my influences as an actress is Johnny Depp, he has such versatility when it comes down to playing his characters. Also, Helena Bonham Carter, Emma Thompson, James McAvoy and Paul Bettany. As for criticisms, I don't really hold many for individual actors/actresses however, I really disliked the film adaptation of "The Other Boleyn Girl", itwas highly historically inaccurate (well, the book was already like that anyway), the acting was shockingly bad as was the casting of the film. Natalie Portman's portrayal of Anne Boleyn was truly awful and I especially did not like Eric Bana's take on Henry VIII. And the costumes we so tacky it just made everything a whole lot worse! Having said that, Eric Bana is not actually a bad actor I just think that this film in general was a complete disaster. Jim Sturgess (whom I happen to think is very gooood-looking) looked far too young to play George Boleyn as was the actress who played his wife Jane. The actor playing Anne's uncle the Duke of Norfolk was far too soft, weak for someone who had such power in his time. The TV series The Tudors did a much better job at portraying their characters and Jonathan Rhys Meyers did some justice to his role as Henry VIII.

I've always really like Phillip Seymor Hoffman. I also like that he's obviously not a pretty boy

and that he obviously has to rely on his ability to act. I've never understood how

James Vanderbeek was able to have a career at all. It's not just that I find his personality

annoying, but in many of his roles you can actually watch his eyes move as he reads the

cue cards. He's just horrible.

For female actresses, I always a lot of respect for Meryl Streep. She always seemed to

pour herself into every character she ever played. I think she was just about always

beleiveable.... Except maybe for Mama Mia. What the hell was that?

I liked Jennifer Anniston as the ditsy girl in "Office Space". I thought she was just

okay in "F.R.I.E.N.D.S." Then, she spiraled and has actually sucked ass in everything she's

done since "F.R.I.E.N.D.S". I dont' know why Hollywood feels obliged to pretend that she's

still an A-list actress.

I like Kirsten Dunst. She's been able to bring sweetheart to every role she's ever played.

I like Ryan Phillippe, but he doesn't take his shirt of nearly enough. If I was a director,

he would have his shirt off in every movie, even if it didn't entirely make sense.

I think the audience would forgive it.
