Advertising in Debates
Literally every single day I see "advertsing debates" pop up; debates made by new users simply advertising their product. Debates like this:

I don't believe there should be a whole lot of debate moderation, but this is getting ridiculous.

Yes, the spammers have been hitting us hard. Here is the problem. I do not yet have a group of moderators established who can help me clean thing up 24x7. Every night the spammer wait until I go to bed and then come on and post their spam. Then every morning I come on and clean it up. We have tried blocking their IP addresses and they work around it. Please understand we are cleaning things up quickly as we can. The only alternative is to queue all the debates for a moderator to approve, but I don't like that idea. Please don't get upset at something that is difficult to control and a minor inconvenience. Thank you, Andy 1

So annoying, even if you don't they pop up their own, just to promote certain advertising. They are using script for those certain ads. Use pop blocker instead. |
