American Slaves

I'm an American.
I used to think I was a free man. Now I realize that is all an illusion. I'm pissed. I have heard of a few ways to free myself and they make sense, but in the end it leaves the average person pretty vulnerable.
Basically from the moment your mother submits the application for a birth certificate you become property. Owned by the state. Chattel. That is why your name is written in all capital letters on your state documents.
I'm going from memory here so please forgive me. I think it is called Capitus minima diminutio or something like that. Legally when your name is in all caps it is a loss of status. You go from the status of a free man to that of a man in bondage. A slave.
You can establish your freedom from this because under contractual law everything in the contract must be known to the contractor up front. You didn't sign it, your mother did. If you say nothing though, it is considered consent by silence.
Even if I do this, if I free myself. Nothing really seems to change. If I buy land, I don't owe property tax. It is my land. They are going to use the courts to enforce it though. I can fight it but it is easier to pay. If I pay though, I am establishing a precedent. I will have to pay forever. Even though I own the land.
Basically the United States government is using it's citizens as collateral with the world bank. All US citizens are owned. We are property. We are collateral used to secure loans for the government.

I want to know what you think of this. Do you think I'm full of shit or what?

The State department has denied my application for a passport. So telling me to leave is a nice sentiment but it is hard to implement legally.

Add New Argument

Social Contract =/= Slavery

To conflate the two is to render both meaningless.

Thanks for the input, but your statement is meaningless to me. Please rewrite it in plain English. I am a carpenter.

What he was trying to say is that the example you gave is not slavery. The reason is because in slavery, not only do you not have freedom but you also do not get anything in return for your work.

In the US, even though it may seem like there are a lot of rules that limit your personal freedoms, they are made for the welfare of the nation as a whole. The government offers something in return for your mandatory taxes and lawful conduct. This is basically what a social contract is.

SlapShot(2608) Disputed

Wrong.

One can always opt out of the Hobbesian Social contract. It is a voluntary agreement. And a theoretical one at that.

Not so much with slavery.

Have you seen the movie "Idiocracy"? Most Americans are already like that. 2 or 3 more generations and that movie will be a documentary.

I can't opt out of it man. I'm stuck here. Surrounded by 'tards and 'fags who are literally too stupid to realize they are chattel.

I don't understand how that is any different from what Sparticus was saying in the first place

Umm no.

They would just have the same meaning.

Who UP VOTES this crap. Seriously.

You are totally full of shit. If you think you're a slave here, you can move to another country. Slaves aren't allowed to switch masters.

Ayemaker(237) Disputed

I'm not allowed to leave the country. I wish it was so easy.

You sound like a little spoiled sniveling shit of a kid who has never had a shred of exposure to real slavery or have been in a country where they still practice it. Go work in a copper mine in Brazil. Work for a Chinese or north Korean state run sweatshop. Become totally subdued by African warlords. Be a woman in the middle East.

You live in one if the freest and fair nations in the history of the planet. I doubt you have set foot outside its shores to see how good you have it. I've been to none other countries, amigo. Trust me, your a whiny ingrate with zero political science savvy.

That crap about capital letters was pure fiction, btw. The type of font on a birth certificate doesn't have anything to do with your future societal status.

Wtf are you smoking? A leftist skin flute with crack sprinkled on it?

LOL

Hope this helps. Here's a quarter.

Go by a clue.

Other than alcohol, I don't do drugs.

The all capital letter thing is something I encountered recently. Capitis minima diminutio is what they called it. It's not pure fiction.

I tried to leave, the state department will not give me a passport. They suck. Political science is not my strong point. For sure you are right about that.

You seem angry with me. You talked about "internet muscles" in our last encounter. Now I'm a spoiled brat and a whiny ingrate? I'm a carpenter. I swing a hammer for a living. Are you retarded?

These muscles are real. I don't live in my Moms basement. My Mom moved to Morocco almost 20 years ago. Now why don't you try guessing how old I am "kid". My children are probably older than you.

Why did the state department not give you a passport? There must have been a valid reason!

@ slapshot

This is twice I responded to your posts. Posts where you call me weak and all kinds of shit. Still no response from you. I literally called you out on the other debate and asked to meet up so we can fight. You are a pussy.

I know, it's meaningless for me to say that. You will just respond and say I am a pussy, right?

Bitch, don't fuck with me. A real man can turn pussy, but a pussy can never turn real.

Well, when I had my own company I used to tell the whingers, if there's anything you don't like about my firm you can eff off and don't forget to close the door from the outside. Now, like a good little whinger, why don't you emigrate to North Korea or some such regime where you will enjoy all the freedom you crave. Bon voyage.

Ayemaker(237) Disputed

Wtf is a whinger? Is that a whiny nigger?

Also, as I told others already: I'm not allowed to leave the country.

Winklepicker(1021) Clarified

''Whinger'' is a chiefly a British term used to describe someone who persistently and peevishly complains about all and everything. Probably the Anglicized version of an old Germanic word. English is made up mainly from French and German words. Example;- ''he's always whingeing about something or other''. You could always sneak out, like millions of Muslims do every year to head for the Christian nations of northern Europe , and become an illegal immigrant in Mexico or Libya. When there you could enjoy the same freedoms and benefits as their citizens do. Right?, okay then, off you go like a good little whinger.

None of your points have any relevance to the actual world of law or modern civil society. There is no legal loss of status in capital letters. It's the rhetoric of so called sovereign citizens. These folks usually have problems functioning in society and need some outside source to blame. I expect this rhetoric shares a common source with your antisemitism.

We are not owned. We are a nation of laws. These laws are subject to change given sufficient public pressure on representatives. No one person will like all the laws. Nonetheless, living in a nation of laws is the surest way to secure ones own liberty.

Property taxes are not federal by the way.

"!!WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BUT OUR CHAINS!!"

I'd never heard of it so I had to do a quick look up.

That terminology is derived from Roman law and involved in Admiralty courts, but although some modern law is based on Roman and Admiralty examples it is still the Supreme Court which is the top legal authority in the USA and there are no precedent cases enforcing this doctrine in the USA. Basically you've taken something archaic and read more into it than would stand up in US court.

Finally, the existence of a Constitutional Bill of Rights already negates that we are slaves. A slave of the state literally has zero rights.

Interesting post. Doesn't mean anything though.

Ayemaker(237) Clarified
1 point

Pay close attention.

The constitution doesn't give me those rights. I have God given rights that are un-a-lien-able. Everybody keeps mispronouncing it.

Have you ever bought a car where you had to make payments to pay it off? That is a situation where your property is said to have a Lien on it. You own it but the bank also owns it with you. My God given rights are un-a-lien-able. The Constitution is a fine document but it cannot give me my rights or take them away. It merely lists them so that i can't be abused by the State. The 13th and 14th amendments are misleading. There is wiggle room in there for a type of voluntary servitude.

You are a slave to your sin and it's pulling you down in death to the fire of Hell. Who do you think you are? You're only a dead man walking who needs to be saved before the thin ice you are walking on, over the fire of Hell, breaks through and you are lost forever.

That has nothing to do with this debate. If you want to say something to me directly, send me a message. I don't want to ban you from this debate, but I will. Say something worthwhile or stfu.

You are concerned about things that are out of your control. If the government wants you dead or in jail, you will be dead or in jail. Nothing in the OP matters.
