When compared to those present in other nations, the Americans have considerable freedom and a fair deal of rights. It is quite strange given that you would reduce the rights and freedoms of the people, that you would attempt to insinuate that Americans are not given enough rights. Side: Disagree

The author of this debate is not insinuating that Americans don't have enough rights, he is claiming they have false rights which only give them illusory freedom. There is little that I should be legally able to do that I cannot. If I chose to do it anyway, there are significant legal tools at my disposal to defend against government action against me. There are also significant legal restraints on what action the government can take. This is the case for the vast majority of Americans. This is what a robust system of codified Rights looks like.
