You are 100% correct. Without a moral foundation, the commitment of relationships are no longer valued. It's now all about greener pastures. There's always some pretty skirt, or some idiot looking for a one night stand, that will make you happier. Your spouse and kids no longer make you happy. The message from the world? Abandon them for something better. They tell you it will be better for those crying children, pleading for you to stay, that you leave for greener pastures. It is sad people need a book to tell them to be a decent person rather than just being a decent person. But really how many Christians ACTUALLY follow their Holy Book. We have determined for ourselves that Child molestation, Child abuse, slavery, stoning people to death for non-violent offenses, and regulating sexuality between consenting adults are all wrong. No Holy book needed. And in fact, if we followed the Holy book. Women would be slaves to their husbands, children would be slaves to their parents, slaves would be slaves to their masters, and we'd all be slaves to the imaginary being in the sky. There is nothing about atheism that limits the concept of free will. In fact being an atheist means you are free from the restraints of religion. The idea that atheists cannot create a totally free world is obviously rooted in religious bias ignoring how ones own free will can NEVER triumph over the will of God making a theistic world the MOST enslaved.
