Are ALL right wingers hypocrites about abortion like THIS right wing congressman??

Hello:

Didja hear about the right wing HYPOCRITE congressman, who just voted to pass a 20 week abortion ban, got CAUGHT asking his girlfriend to get an abortion??

Here's what she texted to him: "And you have zero issue posting your pro-life stance all over the place when you had no issue asking me to abort our unborn child.."  Read about it here:

Anti abortionists should be considered terrorists, don't you agree?

Look at your deception as always. You are trying to paint all Republicans as being hypocrites on abortion because of the actions of one hypocrite.

Lets get some facts in the way of your constant deception.

First of all, did he ask his girlfriend to get an abortion past 20 weeks since this was the legislation he voted on.

He might be one of the Republicans (who I would never vote for) who are ok with 1st trimester abortions.

Ask yourself, if he likes being able to have his girlfriend get an abortion, why would he pass legislation that would prevent it in the future?

There is a reason why I most times speak to late term No Restriction abortions supported by the Democrat Party. This is what truly separates the GOP from Democrats.

I can not speak to all Republicans being prolife with early trimester abortions because they have not pushed any legislation speaking to it.

Many of them have accepted that the majority of Americans want 1st trimester abortions kept legal and understand that a bill would never pass until the conscience of America is once again restored to the days when the right to life was afforded all innocent human lives.

Over 80% of Americans want restrictions on late term abortions. The GOP has tried many times to get 20 week limits (with extreme case exceptions) on abortions. The Democrat Party almost in unanimous agreement stop the bill each time. If you keep electing these pro abortion extremists, you might as well be dismembering the late term babies yourself because you are an accomplice.

There is not one innocent viable unborn life, at any stage, that the Democrat Party wants to protect. Unbelievable!

Because he's a hypocrite who plays to the crowd. gasp a Congressman who doesn't believe he should follow the rules he wants to impose on the general masses? No way!

As usual you missed the point. He voted to pass the bill which would not allow him to be a hypocrite in the future. Hello?

He would no longer be able to have a girlfriend get a late term abortion (which was probably not the case in this instance) because it would be illegal.

Can you grasp this simple fact?

Quote me some facts if you have them how many humans are killed by abortion versus gun death. Impose your will for the general masses.

Politics is full of hypocrisy. The general public know this but continue to elect scum.

I vote yes, especially the evangelical right. My argument has always been; life is sacred to them right up until the child is born, after that mother and child can eat $hit and die. They have no qualms about forcing a young mother to full term but obstruct any social safety net that would help them.

I know I know. Leftists hate it when you use their own logic against them.

I have some nice videos from Islamic sites where emoms and clerics tell us how gays are Satan's children and are to be killed. I also have video of Islamic politicians practicing taqiya (purposefully lying to your enemy to seem peaceful, then turning around and telling your own people the opposite in Arabic).

Are you interested in those videos? Of course not. This is a kill whitie narrative you are after because whites are "imperialists". Nevermind that China is imperialist beyond measure and that Muslim territory, which is the largest mass of land on planet Earth was 100% obtained and built through imperialism, slavery, and conquest.

The NRA rules killing of babies not by the doctors hand but by a semi automatic gun.

My answer to the question Are ALL right wingers hypocrites about abortion like THIS right wing congressman?? is YES, even though I am purposefully on the side of the contrary answer.

Please bear with me. I will try to clearly explain this apparent contradiction.

I think it is interesting how often we (all across the political spectrum) forget the difference between ideals (and corresponding abstractions about life) and real decisions based on concrete and unidealized life.

People all across the political spectrum do this with our proposals regarding all sorts of political, legal, and moral solutions to practical problems.

What sounds like a good idea and a position we can live with when we talk/write/think about it in the abstract changes radically when pernicious details are filled in, and we personally are on the hook for unavoidable realities we failed to take into account.

To put this some different ways:

-- -- The map is not the landscape.

-- -- A beautiful theory crumbles in the face of ugly realities.

-- -- All rules look different to us before we have a front row seat to see how they are applied to real situations and real people.

-- -- Personal experience is necessary for empathy, despite the fact that it often fails to make us empathetic.

-

Regarding hypocrisy:

ANYONE who is actually able to live up to his/her ideals and beliefs about how people should behave obviously does not have a high enough standard of behavior.

Our ideals should challenge us to live up to a difficult standard to attain in actual practice. Otherwise we don't become "better" (by whatever definition) people, or challenge others to become better people.

So, we are probably all ultimately hypocrites, whether on the left or right, religious or atheist, moral or amoral.

As such, it behooves us to be empathetic, forgiving, less inclined to speak in terms of absolutes, and most of all, less inclined to sit in judgment of others.
