Eyeballs, too, are an invasion of privacy, and so all must be plucked from their sockets! Now, I don't like security cameras, but I don't dread them like so many other people do. Considering the many millions of hours that all the security cameras in any given city record, I can't imagine too many privacies being invaded all that much. That is, unless there is other technology, such as facial (or iris) recognition. Now there's an invasion, so far as I'm concerned; that's how people - all people - get themselves tracked, their every move carefully recorded - and to that do I stand in opposition. As a libertarian I'm opposed to government involvement in anything, this included; but, I don't consider them as great an invasion of privacy as most people do. 362 days ago | Side: No, It Protects Us
Placed in certain areas, security cameras can become an invasion of privacy. However, placement in the majority of security cameras are not located to be any invasion, and are just standard for security measure (thievery, loitering, etc). 362 days ago | Side: No, It Protects Us
when they are placed in places of non privacy like when you are standing at checkout, then they are not an invasion of privacy. when placed in privacy places, i don't need to name them, then thats when it becomes a privacy issue and should be taken down. 361 days ago | Side: No, It Protects Us
They are only really looked at if something has gone wrong. If that isn't the case then there is nothing to worry about. If you panic when you see them then I wonder whether or not you have done something wrong to appear so paranoid. 361 days ago | Side: No, It Protects Us
