Are We Progressing too Fast or too Slow
in society there is always talk about how we need newer and better things, and how much they would help are lives. but with inventions like the nucleaur bomb, and all new forms of weaponry, do you think that we as humans are advancing too fast or too slow. thank you for your imput!

We'll, this is a hard decision. If you mean society, then I would say we are advancing too fast. I would coin it, "Think too Highly of Ourselves". A lot of people say we are better then past generations. Are we? To an extent maybe but look at the Romans. They were the most advance civilization to this day and truth be told, we don't know much about them. Do you know Roman coins have been found in the US? Could the Romans have come to North America? We also found an artifact in Egypt which looks like a battery. Did the Egyptians know about electric power? When it comes to mathematics and science, we are not scratching the surface. To this day we use ideas from the Romans, Greeks, and the Egyptians. It would be wise to look at them and to note their down fall so when could avoid going the same route. Side: Too Fast

A plethora of factors could go into this, and an answer could be correct for either side, assuming they chose the correct factors. However, I don't have the time, patience, or (to be perfectly honest) the required intelligence to list alll the factors. Instead, I'll pick a few arbitrary ones and see where that takes me. First though (kinda second, but whatever) we as humans, and not as omnipotent beings, can never really know if we are progressing too fast, since we don't know where the end is, or what increments we are taking to get to it. Still, I choose this side, based on the factor that you presented, and the former post that it reminded me of. Humans are spending a great deal of time separated (country wise) and building devices to damage anyone who should try to oppose our separation. The post I remember that aided my decision to choose this side, was about people dying, going to some sort of purgatory where a random guy was there to show us some things, tell us we're all the same person, and send us back. What this tells me is that the end we as humans can never know about, could be merging into one, at the end of entire lifespan, and since we're building weapons to aid our separation we are definitely moving too slow towards our eventual recombining.
