Most likely.

I mean, there is infinite space out there. even with dizzyingly low odds of life existing, when multiplied by infinity it seems almost guaranteed that somewhere in the universe life evolved too. Also, discovery of Gliese 581G suggests life: it is a habitable planet discovered by astronomers

Crop circles.. Full stop. It's not like some guy with a mower just runs into fields at night and mows perfect circles..?

Or a kid with a golf club runs into corn fields and hits down the grass?

Here's a thought...

Tie a string to a stake in the ground - perfect circle.

here is a thought.... they have tested it and with a piece of string and wood wouldn't create patterns it would just give you a circle... you have to know what you're on about before you can join in a debate, so just to say, your point is invalid, thanks for trying though :)

If you don't believe in aliens, go to your nearest Home Depot. They are usually there standing around, looking for work. Wait.... we're not talking the same thing..... are we ? ;)

Funny stuff. Come to Canada- you'll see every different species of alien! Indian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Mexican lol

There are more stars, litereally, than grains of sand on every beach on the entire earth. Something like 10^24 stars and 10^19 grains of sand... I could be off by a digit or so.

Either way, it's almost incomprehensible that at least millions of these stars have or have had, or will have planets in the proper range and made of the proper stuff to encourage evolution.

Unfortunately, even if an alien or our own civilization came up with the technology to travel as close to the speed of light as physics allows - actually finding the other living things within the lifetime of the space traveler, is slim... unless something out there has an extraordinarily long lifespan or doesn't mind being frozen for several thousand or hundred thousand years.

Someone needs to figure out a clever way to break the Universe's speed limit.

Develop portals. Initially, they could not be used for transport across the stars, since we would have to plant a portal there first, but they could be used in hammerspace transportation

hammerspace is the universe between portals. It is an isolated bubble of space time. If you were to put a person in hammerspace, their mass would be disconnected from any other process. You could, however, move the massless hammerspace bubble. Since F=M*a, any force greater than 0 would provide infinite acceleration of the hammerspace bubble. After trajectory, just 'unzip' hammerspace, and you have reached your destination.

The reason this does not violate the universal speed limit is because no object is actually moving: spacetime is moving.

we are the aliens. the meteor that crashed and killed the dinosaurs was actually a spaceship; we are the aliens. the crash caused amnesia. our leaders name was god, his son was jesus. our addled brains used imagination to fill in the gaps of our memory. this is called confabulation. we created a book so our younger generations wouldnt forget as we did. now there is a religion created over our leader (god) wife cheating on him and lying about it; saying the baby was his (jesus).

Your really funny.

Oh I see something in the sky that I can't explain. Hmmm

Oh sure that has to be aliens from some distant star coming to check up on us. Yeah I'm sure that explains it.

Side: Aliens? what are you smoking?

If aliens are real, they would have made some sort of introduction to us by now.
