Dogs are loyal, loving and affectionate. Cats are selfish and disinterested in humans and are often physically violent. Hence dogs are better.

Cats are scared of cucumbers. That is stupid. Dogs aren't. That means they are better.

Although kittens are extremely gorgeous animals, nothing can come close to the affection and understanding provided by 'a man's best friend'. Happy with nothing more than a bowl of food and a cuddle, dogs make wonderful pets for all ages and, as a bonus, can also also protect one's property.

How is this even a question! Man's best friend. There's no corresponding saying about cats. The closest is 'cute as a kitten' - but then it grows up!

A cat would never do this. No love for them. Dogs actually love their owners.

I think it depends on individual tastes. I think dogs are fun and able to do useful things like retrieving and leading the blind, bringing brandy to stranded skiers and so.

Dogs are mentioned in the bible 27 times, Cats (minus the lion's den in Daniel) are not mentioned. Ergo, God is for dogs (which incidentally is God spelt backwards as well...). I rest my case.

Cats are cute but they have sharp claws! They are not loyal and will go to anyone who will feed them. They scratch the furniture and can kill native wildlife

So I don't think cats are better than dogs.

Both have their good sides. Cats you can leave alone in the house for an extended period of time and you don't typically have to worry. They are low maintenance and self sufficient and if you get a good one, they sometimes act like a dog.

Dogs require more work, a lot of picking up after and companionship. They are way more loyal than cats but I think both have some really great sides to them.

You'll get more usable meat off a dog. Although if you like Asian food it's hard to beat cat.
