This is too vague a question. First it depends on what a good role-model looks like to you. Sure, I would argue there are certainly some musicians who are absolutely not good role models, but there are also some that could be considered a good role model for some and not others. - The only way I can answer your questions is "yes and no". There are many male artists that objectify women and likewise female artists that objectify men. There are artists who promote drugs and violence. These are not behaviors I associate with a good role model. There are also artists who through there music endorse indoctrination into religion which I also don't associate with a good role model. - By contrast there are artists that use their music to promote great things such as how we should treat each other. - Again, are they good role models? Yes...and no. Side: Yes, they are.
I agree that musical stars these days aren't good role models for young people. This is because these stars also tend to be very naive and gullible, as they have to follow trends in order to look hip or cool. As such, teenagers follow these stars in a bid to be more fashionable and chic. Hence, musical stars these days aren't good role models for young people. In addition, musical stars also produce songs which has no significant meanings, such as producing beats and meaningless lyrics instead of encouraging good points, like Michael Jackson's "Save The World." As such, their songs have no meanings and are often of bad influence. Moreover, most musical stars are often careless about the way they treat people, such as the way they treat people and paparazzi rudely and insensitively. As they, as they don't treat people with due respect, teenagers and adolescents alike may think that this behaviour is acceptable and cool for people to look at. Side: Yes, they are.
Like I said, it depends on the musical artist. I am a parent, but of a 2-year old, so her tastes don't extend beyond "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". I don't know what music will be like as she gets older, but if there are artists such as Carrie Underwood I'd be happy. Artists like her, however, are far and few between. I believe that's why it's important to be involved in your child's life and teach them what's right and wrong, and even if you like someone's music, that doesn't mean they are a person worth emulating. Easier said than done? Perhaps, but it's irresponsible to not try. Side: Yes, they are.
Good role models for what? Good role models for what they do for a living - perform as musical stars? Well yes. Whom other than a musical star is better qualified to serve as a model for it? Oh wait, did you mean for everything else other than being a musical star? Oh, OK, I understand. But the debate was not defined in those parameters. You just left it all out there to interpret how we wanted. Why is it that anyone who is good at something (music, acting, politics, sports, chess, whatever) is expected to be a goody two shoes in everything else in life in case people growing up want to be like them? That's foolish. Side: Yes, they are.
Yes. Musical stars are good role models as they have the power to inspire thousands if not millions of people worldwide. They can inspire millions of people both negatively and positively. However, more people are inspired to make music and have take them as a role model in things beyond music. For example, a celebrity Chris Brown is not only a singer, he is also a boxer and a dancer. This will inspire people to do boxing or start dancing. Side: Yes, they are.
Nowadays, musical stars these days are good role-models for young people because they display good values for the public. Musical stars display the confidence and their own sets of values for the public to not only admire but also to follow that set of beliefs. Although, some musical stars such as justin beiber which once to be a child star that have gone wild. There are many musical stars that the public which still represents good role models Side: Yes, they are.
Young people have to take some responsibility for their own life decisions. A music star is a music star: a person who is successful at making music, who has his or her own personality which is entirely their own prerogative. There are many of them who do make good role models: non-drinkers, non-smokers, charitable individuals, and many who don't. However, there are also plenty of other types of role models that children and young people can have: scientists, philosophers, philanthropists, sportspeople, their parents, their relatives, their peers. Music has always been an industry full of people who live expressive and passionate lives, and in many ways their tendencies to self-destruct or suffer mental health problems or live on the fringes of social expectation are what make them good musicians to begin with. Not everybody can be a clean-living bible-basher, I'm afraid. At the end of the day, how a child turns out says much more about the parents than it does about the music stars of their era. Side: Yes, they are.

Celebrities these are not good role models. While a good number of celebrities are kind at the heart and have done their part to give back to society. It seems that there is an increasing amount of celebrities getting in trouble with not only with their own coworkers, but also with the media and the public. Some of them are even involved with the law with offenses such as drug abuse, causing a public disturbance, vandalism or by receiving a lawsuit from various companies due to various reasons which are countless What's more, these celebrities still have yet to change their ways and continue causing trouble with people. Doesn't mean that they are famous they are good role model. As musical stars nowadays are known more for their wild, bad reputation, gossips and scandals instead of their well-known songs. Also, most of them did things against the law like initiating violence to others such as to the paparazzi or fans and being rude to people. Side: No, they are not.
These days musical stars are not good role models as they tend to abuse their power to get away with the things they do. For example if they got into trouble with a commoner, they would bribe the commoner into not telling the media so that their reputation would not be dirtied. Side: No, they are not.
Majority of the celebrities are not good role models as there are celebrities who appeared on the news not for what they did well but things that are illegal. Examples would be celebrities being violent to their coworkers and celebrities who has drugs with them. Side: No, they are not.

I personally do not agree because some of them promote drugs, weeds and many more. One of them is Snoopdog. Some of the musical stars also promotes vulgarities making teenagers think it's cool but it's not cool, but rude. One of them is Eminem. A good role model to me is that they must show us their values that are worthy to be respect. Some of the bad musical stars are Eminem Justin Bieber Miley Cyrus and many more. So does musical stars these days good role models? Side: No, they are not.

Looking at the well-known celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Kanye West, it is pretty simple to say these people are not good role models for young people. This is justified as the outrageous and weird actions for Miley Cyrus, usage of drugs for Justin Bieber and ruthless attacks for Kanye West. This may be due to their popularity to young people and large amount of money that made them crazy over power Side: No, they are not.

Some musical stars are bad role models especially for adolescents nowadays. There is a handful of musical stars that end up doing illegal actions such as using drugs, violence and performing uncivilised actions in public. To add on, some of them are incredibly rude which will set a bad example for gullible teenagers who would not know that it is very bad. Hence, some musical stars are a bad influence on young people. Side: No, they are not.
Yes , musical stars is a good role model for young people as they gone through hard work and effort in putting up good show for the audience to see , through the performance , the audience will get influenced by those musical stars. Moreover if these musical stars are some of the young people idol , they will then try to learn good habits from their idol , although these musical stars did not show their hardwork to the audience . But by showing up good performance , this will shows how much efforts they have put in . However , young people can learnt not to give up no matter how hard a journey is as musical stars often gone through a tough journey to sucess . No one will suceed without hardwork Side: No, they are not.

No, but not many of the most popular or influential stars have ever been good role models. Miles Davis (Jazz) was a druggie and had a bad attitude to most things, Michael Jackson was slightly too into children. Most modern stars just flash their arses and pretend they're empowering women and comfortable in their skin when they just do it for money. Side: No, they are not.
