Are people lying to themselves to feel loved by God?

I have been getting into religion a bit more on here and came to a conclusion. Homosexuals are lying to themselves so they can be seen as Christian. I'm not a Christian myself, nor an atheist. I'm a religious anthropologist who is currently studying Christianity and Satanism (path 3). Being a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I've noticed "Christian" members of the LGBTQ+ community change biblical texts to prove homosexuality is not a sin. Earlier, I made a point about how God did not write the bible, but agreed with it's text. Therefore, points differing are invalid, (you know, besides religious doubt). Sometimes, people change the subject, other times it can be making points about how parts of the bible are stupid and people should give up religion as a whole. Anyway, the point is it's heart breaking how heart breaking words can be, nowadays. But remember kids, skate ass, eat fast, and get to class. 😎

Hello HA:

Maybe.. So what? We lie to ourselves ALL the time. I think I'm a catch. It makes me feel good.. Oh, there's no proof that I'm a catch, but you didn't ask about proof.. You asked about feeling good.

People will use whatever means they have at their disposal to justify their feelings on a particular subject. Even if that means cherry picking or warping the actual meaning. That's why it's important to take a step back every now and then and consider other sides, view ideas from a fresh perspective, and be open minded. If you don't agree with someone you can accept their stance as being one that's different from yours without railing against it and beating them over head because they don't agree with you. (I'm saying "you" as in a general person, not you specifically.)

Like that when the Bible said

It didn't mean this:

I think if people can feel love today, they'd better take it from whence it comes! I do/did. If a god does it for you, great. If you feel you are NOT lying to yourself, great. I would LOVE to see a "loving god" reveal itself. About now, we REALLY need one!

I think I can guarantee he'll not be blonde … with orange skin!

The thing you need to understand about most people is that they don't think or reason, they take the path of least resistance. This means they believe what authority figures tell them and what makes them feel secure, their beliefs aren't even about truth to them at the end of the day but rather being accepted by other people and feeling good about themselves.
