I lived in India for a year in the 70's and again for a year in the 80's. The human population has doubled since then so I am guessing so have the animals. Wherever I have traveled where there are wandering cows, feral and domestic animals, etc, they are a traffic problem. The road kill in some parts of Australia is quite amazing making it dangerous for drivers and for the predator birds, often eagles, that feed on the carrion and get killed because need too long a distance to take off. Its a hazard all round. Side: Yes
Where did you visit. I can assure you that there are no cows walking around the street in Mumbai, New Delhi, or Calcutta in 2015. India is one of the world's fastest growing economies and you can tell by the improvement in infrastructure. Of course, if you go to a small village there may be a few animals walking on the road but people know this, and drive slowly. They won't pop up on highways so it isn't a major hazard, and doesn't contribute to the traffic. What does contribute to the traffic is the population density. Side: No
The times I have visited were to the rural areas and there were often animals on the road, not wandering, just sitting so they became a bit of a problem to get around in traffic. There were quite a few cattle on the streets in Delhi and where I stayed near the markets they were prolific as there was a lot of left over food to eat. Side: No
Yes I agree that India is world's fastest growing economics but still development can not only be calculated on the basis of infrastructural development but development of their citizens which are economically and socially backward and also the change in mindset of people and uplifting standards. What you are talking about is not wrong but is one side of the coin.Mumbai,Delhi,Kolkata are metropolitan cities which are highly developed comparing other cities. If you'll visit other cities like cities of Uttar Pradesh,Bihar you'll get to know INCREDIBLE INDIA Side: Yes
