Why are some nipples illegal while others are legal?

"If you’re a man, you probably don’t think much about your nipples. And why should you? Hardly anybody notices them, or has rules about them, or asks you to cover them up—except in obvious places, like at the office or in Victoria’s Secret.

I’m a woman, so mine are obscene, indecent, lewd, banned on Instagram and other social media, and against the law in most places...."

I think your views might need to be rephrased as it's not clear what the sides actually are.

Women's nipples are sexualised in a way that men's nipples aren't. Because of the connotations, they're banned in a lot of places and if you are allowed to show them, you'll probably get a lot of harassment from doing so, so it's socially a no-no.

To be honest, unless you're nearly flat-chested, taking off your shirt AND your bra on a hot day (so your nipples are showing properly) is just plain uncomfortable. Bras are there to support us, and wandering around with your D cups wild and free surely isn't comfortable. This being said, I do wish it was socially acceptable to walk around with just a bra on your top half. After all, isn't that basically what a bikini top does?

The whole female-nipples-are-ick thing is weird if you think about it. The only function of a woman's nipple is to suckle young, and it seems a bit weird to find that arousing.
