Are these NAZI's?

There have been many protests held by socialists throughout the United States, Canada and Europe against Israel and the "Freedom" flotilla. Does this make them NAZI's? I mean, it's clear this wasn't a peace flotilla, these people are just biased against Israel and possibly the jews, and they happen to be socialists. Would this make them similar to the NAZI's?

Nothing much I can add to the above comment really. Socialism and National Socialism are completely different

Socially-slightly different in some aspects, VERY similar in others.

Economically-They are almost the exact same.

Side: Yup

Ahh yes, someone who assumes that because the National Socialist party has 'Socialist' in the name, it is socialist!

1.) The actual party name was the 'NSDAP' not Nazi, that comes from the German pronunciation of National Socialist. LEARN

2.) They thought that Socialism and Liberalism was a failure, they did embrace certain left-wing ideas like government involvement in business however. On the other hand, they embraced private property and ownership! As well as stressed weeding out the weakest members (Communists, Gypsies, Jews, Mentally ill their definition not mine) of their nation, by exportation or execution to make the country as a whole stronger.

3.) Socialism wants to make the worker powerful in the economic system, it is not a political ideology rather an economic one. Just like capitalism or communism... it may influence what the government policies are but it has little effect on political ideals of a nation. National socialism is a political model, not an economic one.

4.) They were highly corporatist. Which is a part of both socialism and conservatism, they have things in common in some policies!

TL;DR Just because it has socialism in the name doesn't mean they have much in common.

No, they didn't. They never removed the title of private ownership, but they did say "all property is common property." Private property was "allowed" so long as the state could dictate how it was used. If disobeyed they'd simply confiscate it. Are you aware they socialised healthcare, created a public education system and restricted profits made by businesses?

As well as stressed weeding out the weakest members (Communists, Gypsies, Jews, Mentally ill their definition not mine) of their nation, by exportation or execution to make the country as a whole stronger.

First of all, you have to look at their reasoning behind it all. Communists were killed because they were supposedly part of "The Jew" but you also forgot to mention their hatred of Capitalists as well. Jews were (in their eyes) either Communist or Capitalist so therefore they HAD to be taken out.

Socialism wants to make the worker powerful in the economic system, it is not a political ideology rather an economic one. Just like capitalism or communism... it may influence what the government policies are but it has little effect on political ideals of a nation. National socialism is a political model, not an economic one.

While that is true, the effect given out by both of them is remarkably similar compared to something like Capitalism, as well as being filled with strikingly similar views on the individual and the state (oh, and Zionists).

They were highly corporatist. Which is a part of both socialism and conservatism, they have things in common in some policies!

They were still collective nonetheless.

Just because it has socialism in the name doesn't mean they have much in common.

I agree, But socialism and National Socialism are still almost the same.
