I thought about this question for a while, and I came to the conclusion that both possibilities are irrational.

The conditions needed for life are so improbable, and even then life may not exist. The conditions are very specific.

To think that there is no life outside this planet - this little wet rock flying through space, is pretty lonesome. It doesn't feel good or make much sense.

So, the only logical answer is both yes and no, because until there is proof, we don't know.

I do not believe we are. Space is believed to be almost infinite. There is bound to be another planet just like ours ( by just like ours I mean able to support life ), there are to many possibilities of life to rule it out hell mars has water on it and Mars is pretty close to us. There is a huge possibility of other life and I believe that there could very well be other life out there in space.

It's very possible that there are planets with life in the universe besides Earth. We just haven't found them yet. It's even a possibility that there is intelligent life in the universe! However, I do not believe we have ever had any contact with them. There are pictures and all, but some of them are too hard to believe. And the believable ones are the ones where it's hard to make out what you're looking at. (I'm speaking of pictures of UFOs.)

Given the massive size of the universe, The DISTURBINGLY MASSIVE SIZE OF THE UNIVERSE, it is highly unlikely that there is not some other form of 'life' in the universe. Is it the conventional life that we know? Probably not. I believe anything that was not grown on earth will not look like anything that has ever been seen.

Definately not, there are other planets in the universe that contain intelligent lifeforms that we don't know about. Look at the sky, there are so many stars whose light was directed to us ffrom millions of light years away. When we see the star shinning, that planet or star might be already be gone :]

It's definately possible for lifeform to appear somewhere else in the vast universe.

The fact that we appeared on earth and multiplied and survived disasters means that there REALLY are intelligent life in the entire universe.

Well those are good points but I have to remember Drakes Equation from prior debates. There is an infinite number of possibilities so you cannot rule it out completely.

I think there is a problem in communication here. What I'm saying is, any life form not based on earth that just happens to be intelligent could have a completely different psychology. There is absolutely no way of knowing what emotions they feel.

The animals you see today were created exclusively on earth and all share a common ancestor at some point in time. The development of the very brain in every single thinking life in this world can be traced back to a single point of origin.

Do not assume that anything that evolved anywhere else in this universe will have developed a physiology or a psychology in the same way. This having been said, their brain and thought patterns are most likely radically different than anything we've ever seen.

I want to believe that there could be another breathing life on this universe. As we all know, our space is infinite, there could always be a huge chance that not so green little man exist somewhere out there. Billion miles away yet to be discovered there could be some piece of rock that are living just like our earth, some living organisms could mutate from there and develop advance technologies, (could also be we were more advance from them) could also be curious about other stars and galaxies and will soon want to communicate with another breathing specie.

Well, that could be a hell of unsupported theories but I still wanted to believe that. Because we will never really know.

The fact is... the idea that we actually have the possibility to exist (not only life, but intelligent life) is practically zero (really, 1 in a trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion).

Without ignorance there will be no lifeform, when there is it will cause a chain reaction which life is formed.

Every single thing in this universe is interdependant towards each other and if one of them is missing it will affect the other things down the line. For example a foodchain.

If frogs are hunted down there will be a lot of mosquitoes since there will be lesser predators to feed on them. Causing a major chain reaction when the frogs went extinct or disappeared.

This rule of interdepandence applies to what i am trying to say.

Look at animals, they have greed, lust , pain, revenge and other characteristics implanted into their hearts and soul. Any lifeform on this universe is bound to have the same characteristics.

There is no such thing as soul only consciousness and the craving to survive and reborn is.

We cannot actually trace the beginning of our origin nor an animal's origin it's totally impossible to.

Assuming that scientists have proved that the first humans started to appear around 50,000 years ago, and proved it with the DNA theory but still no concrete evidence is found to prove it.

If those scientists actually went back into the past and see how humans started and video taped it and bring it back to the present and show it to everyone one on this earth. But that is impossible.

There are theories that oppose the so called proven point of origination of human beings such as something might happen between the past and the present.

Perhaps the DNA got altered in some way and passed on and the new strands of DNA live in our bodies.

Enough of that crap, i believe in humans share a common ancestor at some point of time but i do not believe that the DNA have the ability to trace our single point of origination. It is just impossible to trace.

And also i do not assume that anything that evolved anywhere else in this universe have thought patterns similar to ours.

There are many levels of heavens and their lifespan are long and it depends on what level of heaven they are in.They can float, they can fly it's because they have cultivated concentration, merits when they are on earth or other similar planets to ours.

IF scientists have a chance to go into a space ship and fly to heaven which is dunno how many light years away and study the thought patterns of those living beings. Oh i am sure that they will be utterly shocked when they first saw that they can fly and they themselves could'nt. Their purity of the mind and their defilements are almost gone that they could actually fly.

Some have escaped from rebirth some have not but surely at higher levels of heaven where sentient beings who escaped from Saṃsāra have eradicated their defilements and achieved emancipation from this cruel world.

They have also unlocked powers to see the future and past of themselves and others. What is the key ?

It is concentration.

They are other factors which will affect that.

Such as the purity of your thoughts.

and how wholesome your deeds that has been executed by the six senses are.
