Are you an introvert or extrovert?

I've recently been reading a book called Introvert Advantage: How to Thrive in an Extrovert World by Marti Olsen Laney and it's a very interesting book so far, and I would say that I'm definitely a introvert.

It depends on the setting. In large loud groups (parties, sporting events, etc) I'm introverted. And that's why I voted on this side because most of the time when extroverts rant against introverts it's because they don't understand why they're not the life of the party like themselves.

But in smaller groups, or one on one, or even in a public speaking situation, then I'm extroverted. Seriously. I have extensive public speaking background, particularly throughout high school and college. I'm not shy to address dozens or hundreds or masses of people. But if I'm not the speaker, if I'm just any anonymous face in the crowd, then I'm one of the quiet ones.

And I tell it this way because in reality the introvert vs extrovert classification is imperfect and an artificial way of labeling people which usually polarizes more than it helps. Life isn't as simple as a bunch of people are outgoing and some strange subset instead is timid. There is a blend in everybody. Even the extrovert life of the party has scenarios where they're going to shut up and withdraw into themselves, whether it's school or church or a public speaking scenario, or whatever.

I'm just a really loud person in general, so yeah. It's safe to say I'm an extrovertXD.

I struggle hard to be quiet and reserved, but, sooner or later, my extrovert tendencies and aggressive nature finds me either laughing and joking or arguing with those around me.
