Be honest, do you more fear your loved one dying from a mass shooter, or a drunk driver?
If we are honest, we all know the answer to this question. The chances of your loved one being killed by a drunk driver are much much higher than being killed by some murderer.
So please expain the unexplainable. Why does the Left constantly fixate on more and more gun regulations (that would not have prevented most of the mass shootings we have witnessed), but seldom mention stricter alcohol regulations, that would help cut down on the tens of thousands of drunk driving deaths.
One answer...... the real concerns of these hypocritical anti gun Leftist's has nothing to do with actually saving lives. There goal is to take the guns from Americans so they can more easliy usher in their socialist Big Brother politically correct control of the people.
Where is the Left's outcry for background checks in public places selling alcohol, for those repeat DWI offenders who will most likely drive home?
THERE IS NO OUTCRY FOR ALCOHOL CONTROL EVERYTIME A BUS LOAD OF INNOCENT CHILDREN ARE KILLED IN A DRUNK DRIVING ACCIDENT!
Background checks in bars for repeat DWI offenders would actually work because these losers have no problem driving with revoked licenses. As with most laws, criminals ignore them!
The reason the Left does not scream for background checks with the sale of alcohol is because THEY DRINK! They do not want to be inconvienenced by background checks and the increased costs of alcohol, to save lives.
They say the same thing gun owners say. They say we are law abiding citizens. They say we are not drunk drivers so why should we be penalized? They would say it's not the alcohol, it's the person behind the alcohol. I agree!

I do not support more restrictions on alcohol any more than guns because I'm not an idiot. I understand that the weapon of chioce is not the problem. The problem is this new age culture of self love and broken homes. It all starts in the home with a loving mother and father. That is the answer to most problems in this world.
Try addressing that problem and actually save some lives and do some good for your fellow man.
