Because Jesus was a male, Mary couldn't have been a virgin.

The only way a non-virgin birth can occur is if the mother freakishly has a clone or slightly mutated clone of herself as a baby in her womb. But it is pretty much impossible for the X of a woman to mutate into the Y of a man within the space of time it takes to have a functional baby. If Jesus had been a female, I would honestly consider New Testament Bible a possible scenario. Side: Science

the whole story is a miracle and Science has no business in meddling in miracles. Even if Jesus was female, there would be something else preventing you from believing. If Jesus had been a female, I would honestly consider New Testament Bible a possible scenario. So the issue for you is gender. Not when he rose from the grave after being dead three days; not when he fed the 5000+ with bread. Not when he calmed the storm, or told Lazarus to wake up from the dead; not when he cast out demons (which is as farfetched as virgin birth). Not when he told the future of Peter's betrayal. These all fall under the same category of virgin birth and gender issue so if Jesus was female, you would have another obstacle blocking your belief. Side: Religion

I don't believe in that stuff. But if we pretend its true, then sure Mary could have given birth to him and still be virgin. I mean come on if God can walk on water, rise people from the dead and save people from hell then why not also make a virgin pregnant with a boy? Side: Religion
Because Jesus only walked on water as a ghost, not a human. Mary was 100% human. God made human women only capable of having female virgin births. You are asking why we assume God isn't a hypocrite and that's because if God is a hypocrite he might as well not give any moral codes. Side: Science

Where did the text say he was a ghost? Can ghosts even be proven by Science? If it can't and Science is your yardstick you would not consider new testament theology. Mary was 100% human. God made human women only capable of having female virgin births. this is an if a woman gave a virgin birth scenario. God never made women capable of virgin births at all. If they were capable show me a documented successful account where a woman gave a virgin birth. I searched and I found none at all. I can understand why the virgin birth is so incomprehensible, because it is strictly a miracle. i.e. it only occurs by god's intervention. God doesn't do miracles half-hazardly because if he did it would provide a great detriment to prove his existence. Have you ever spoken to an atheist about a personal experience and he explains a possibility to it? That is what would happen in the virgin birth if there was enough evidence. Yes that's right he goes hard or goes home with his miracles. So dont try to explain them, just accept them or leave tem alone Side: Religion
